He readjusted the chain and say i shld change it on the next service, and when u change the chain, the sprockets shld be changed as well.

Why you all dun wanna go Pleasure Motorsports? They seem to have alot of RS250. So if they can fix 250s 125s shouldn't be a problem. Juz my 0.2........

lacrimosae,

I think I agree with kawa about the uneven wear. However, the brake pads being worn can cause deep cuts on your disc brake. Basically brake pads are rubber pieces mounted onto metal pieces so it could be the metal pieces that scratch your disc brake. You might wish to skim the brake discs if it keeps on causing uneven wear.

Cheers!

Thanks guys,

really appreciate the fact that no problem/issue goes unanswered here in the Aprilia Forum!!!

Anyway, my rear brake has been squealing since DAY ONE that i just changed them! New pads cant be worn out that quickly aye?

That's why I believe there's something ground into the pad itself that's cutting into the rotor.

Will bring the bike down to have them check ed out asap.

now prepping for overseas trip, no time....

I dun think there would be anything 'grounded' on the brake pad itself; rather it could be your brake disc itself being 'out of shape'.

Some of the possible reasons are:

1. damaged by padlock or disc brake lock

2. cut by worn brake pads (metal-on-metal)

Another thing could be the brake disc being dirty. Try cleaning it. Sometimes hard braking does help (but not in crowded places, please! :giddy: ) to clean off a bit of 'carbon'.

Good luck on your overseas trip lacrimosae

Cheers!

geez.... this is black june for aprilia riders ah?

me also kena liaoz....

skidded... riding in the rain, one moment press front brake no response, press a bit harder suddenly came to life, bike dive forward but both wheel on the ground... next thing the rear wheel drift to the left and i hit the ground...

faring scratched, whole right footrest that component kena push up 90 deg. signal also gone... :nono: :nono: :nono:

guys take care while riding!

aprilia250>

thanks.

Will check my brake at the bike shop because:

1) Have never used a padlock/disc brake lock

2) Brake pads are brand new, unless my mech do magic and swap pads, which I doubt

3) Been hard braking a lot. Once braked so hard nearly skidded on my GRP70s some more

So, it could be a bent disc rotor.

Cyke>

I winced when I read your story. You must have wanted to :box: yourself

Will take your advice and not ride today. hahha... taking the bus with my FF helmet.

oooh..what wld i do without guys like u all..

thanks i'll keep that in mind...prob do it upon my next service. Actually my sprockets still look ok, just that the chain's rattling a bit... i guess can still tahan. Its now not so tight, so the rear wear rattling is gone, just the chain slider rattling is still there.
