ISSUES WITH REGARDS TO BIKE TRAILERS.
FEEDBACK NUMBER: 293536

Please refer to your enquiry of 09-OCT-2005.

2 We would like to inform you that we have no objection to towing a trailer on your vehicle to transport motorcycles so long as your vehicle is fitted with a suitable tow hook and certified by the vehicle manufacturer for towing. The trailer, however, will have to be registered with the LTA and comply with the vehicle registration and technical requirements set out in the Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Registration and Licensing) Rules, Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Construction and Use) Rules and Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Lighting) Rules.

3 The general technical requirements for trailers are as follows:

a) The overall length of the trailer and drawing vehicle shall not exceed 11 metres.
b) The overall length of the trailer shall not exceed 4.6 metres.
c) The vehicle drawing a trailer shall not exceed an overall length of 7 metres and the vehicle manufacturer has to certify that the vehicle is suitable to tow the trailer.
d) The trailer must be equipped with an efficient braking system and lighting system.
e) The tow bar connecting the vehicle and trailer shall not exceed 4.5 metres.

4 To apply for LTA's approval, you have to submit the following documents:

a) Letter of application
b) A copy of technical drawing (A2 or A1 size where applicable) endorsed by a Professional Engineer (Mechanical Engineering)
c) The technical specifications of the vehicle from the manufacturer
d) Weight distribution calculations endorsed by a Professional Engineer (Mechanical)
e) Axle catalogue
f) Weight card (to determine axle weight)

5 The application can be submitted using the "Vehicle Inspection and Type Approval System" (VITAS). For more details on VITAS, please visit our website at https://vitas.lta.gov.sg.

Hey guys,

As you can see from the BBQ list that i posted.. Very few people have paid up the money.. I arranged the KKFC meetup abit too late i admit.. I was bogged down by exams.. That's why i asked Dannis to start collecting the money for me.. But no one paid, and he did nothing as well.. Wonderful.

I took the effort to call everyone whom i saw didnt post online after i posted regarding the KKFC meetup. So all those who posted online after my post, i didnt call.. Unfortunately, you dont even have the courtesy to call/SMS me or Alan to atleast say that you cannot make it? What is this la?

Those whom i called and i couldnt reach.. You have 1 more week to pay me.. I already stated previously i dont entertain bank transfers.. I have yet to receive even 1 call asking otherwise let alone meet me to pass the money..

People like Kelvin came down to KKFC just to pay me the money and rsuh off.. Chris bothered to call and sms to say whether he could make it or not.. The attitude of the rest, it really needs changing..

Everyone's so excited about the BBQ, in the end, no one is paying.. I dont understand. Is it a treasurer's job to collect money or call people and beg them to pay? It'll be a miracle to get things done around here.. Seriously..

People, if it's in decent condition and doesn't require immediate rebuilding, this sounds like a good deal, especially if your stock rear shock's gone case. One of us should definitely buy it.
