I'm new to this forum. I would like to ask if there is any shop dealing in silverwing windshield.

I'm looking for a Givi type design - the present Givi one that I have is too tall for rainy weather. Or does any shop deal in Clearview windshield

try motoworld, they carry the ermax windshield which is slightly taller than the stock. call them for more info... they don't have ready stock so you'll have to order and wait

handbrake... using the SW's handbrake is similar to that of a car, just pull the level. the more "tension" you put on the level, the tighter the brake calipers will hold the rear brake disk. unlike the pinion or stopper designs, caliper brakes work on friction. i.e. the bike may still move forward if the forward force from the engaged transmission is large enough to overcome the holding friction

 

how to park on main stand? same way as what you learn at the driving centre; left hand on left rider handlebar, right hand on right pillion handlebar, right leg on the main-stand rocker, main-stand legs firmly on the ground... then left hand pull, step up and put whole bodyweight onto the the main-stand rocker... bike should come up smoothly

Yes. I presently own two silverwings (heh heh). One has the Givi windshield, which I obtained from Chiap Lee when they were the agents. I find the tall wind shield unsafe in heavy rain, as I cannot even look over the windshield, it being too tall.

I'm looking for a shorter one for my other SW. The Givi is about 26.5 - 27 inch height while I think original is 21inch. So I'm comfortable with about 24 - 25 inch height.

Getting import from Clearview USA will cost about S$500 - 600 inclusive of courier. Thats why I'm trying to obtain locally

Oh well, maybe have to buy the Givi and cut down...

Btw guys, I'm hearing some creaking sound from my swingarm area when I go through bigger hump.. Which place more recommended, KC or FS to fix this?
