Just now changed my front wheel bearing also.. Ah chong said wrong type of bearing used(correct bearing should have plastic covering bearings) and it will jam when water go in.

Wa lau, Last time my motor tiam change metal bearing type. Lucky I ride 1 year plus never jam lor. seepay Heng..

not to worry. even if bearings jam, with the weight of the bike, the wheel will still turn. but bike will be slow cos "having to turn a very hard to turn wheel."

Have to ride a few days to review its performance.. :)

Initial feel abt the handling is good after the mod.

Front fork handling improved. The rear suspension i using setting "7", it's good. Hard enuff for my liking..

Tonight will try the one hand corner like you did... hahha..

I never feel hyper pro springs before, duno is it better or what..

To be truth, whether you use a Metal Shield(ZZ) or Rubber Seal(2RS). Its doesn`t make any diff.

Cos you still have 2 rubber seal @ the wheel area to seal the bearing.

Rubber seal can be taken off and re-lub the bearing, while metal shield cannot be taken off. Once taken off, the shield is dmg and hard to put it back.

A example only. Just explain to him the diff in the bearing. But WM do re-lub bearing when servicing transmission.

IMO there is no max speed limit for a bike of its own class (cc)

Its all up to individual balls of tolerances to a person speed limit.

1 may ride a 2b bike but always clear meter and another may ride a class 2 bike but stick to 120km/h max...

Think you should know that sw euro 400cc can go till 160~170plus... some claim that even hit 180plus :) so i think that just stick to own comfort speed range will do...

by book, i think 130~140km/h is the max recommended speed not to over stress the engine.... But from my previous ride on 2 honda bikes, I think that if 1 like to go for speed for long distance, its recommended to do a proper check on the maintenance part.....

I always do a oil change b4 and after i go for long trip and will not wait for the next service due date.

BTW my last trip to... I maintain my ride at around 160km/h :)

Y asking this???

Itchy to get a GT SW :cheeky:

Silverwing's top speed is base on it's max RPM @ abt 9300. depending on the wind direction & type of road traveled, top speed should be in the range of 165 to 180km/hr. Provided your transmission & bearings are in min ok condition.

I traveled to Port Dickson then Melaka then back to Singapore @ between 150km/hr to top speed with wife. Bike no prob at all. Engine oil was checked every 1000km. Till i change it off at 6000km. No decrease at all.

But for better handling & stablebility, front & rear suspension is very much advise to stiffen up.
