WoooHooo. Relaxing at Hatyai liao.

Just finished my supper and Swensen icecream. Going to bed soon.

My 2 days report.

 

Day 1: SG to Seremban

Left GP at 1.15pm.

Started to rain cats and dogs from Kulai to almost Pagoh.

Managed only 60km/h when visibility was 100m.

Otherwise, its 120km/h all the way. Reached Hotel at 3.45pm = 2.5 hrs ride.

Stayed at Hotel Lotus (rm55),at outskirt of Seremban. Small town yet with many pubs and massage palour.

 

Day 2: Seremban to Hatyai

Depart at 7am.

Stopover at Dengkil Macdonalds for breakfast then Tapah and Semanggol.

Didn't fall asleep the whole stretch.

Nice cool weather without rain. 130km/h.

Cleared Thai custom at 1.30pm!!!!

That's 6.5hrs + 2.5hrs = 9 hrs travel. Yeah.

 

Tried take shorter cut but got lost in Hatyai town and couldn't find Pink Hotel. KNN, all buildings looked the same.

Finally have to take the more familiar route via Carefour and President Hotel then Kim Yong Market. This route so easy. Grrr...

 

Tomorrow... Chumphon.

Btw, somethings to take note when coming riding to Thailand:

 

1. If using new or different bike from previous trip, please inform the person who is keying your bike importation form.

She printed mine with the old data from her server without checking becos both are Silverwing FJS400D and same bike number.

Then the next counter officer rejected my form and have to wait for her to re-type and re-print. Gave me a fright I thought my log card got problem and have to u-turn. Whew.

 

2. Many dogs died on the road towards Hatyai. I lost count already.

Please ride safely and watch out for animals. Arboh sure very serious...

haha haha.... then u need the authorization letter from her.

and pls make sure the log card letter from LTA got her full name in it. otherwise the thai custom can reject u. but without her name in the LTA letter also got other ways.

there should be a letter from LTA notifying the owner (your wife) that the vehicle has been registered under her name... name and bike details are shown inside (see attached for example).

 

if i'm you, i'll get ready...

+ photocopy of that LTA letter

+ photocopy of wife's IC

+ photocopy of wife's passport with signature

+ authorisation letter indicating clearly both her/your names as per passport (signature should be same as passport for better authentication)

+ photocopy of certificate of insurance (better still if CI show your name as additional rider)

Daiso at Plaza Sing to get the reflective sticker and Velcro.
