i tink DIY is best ! haha..to bad dont have enough equipments and place to do tat. If not belt/rollers/u-clips change is less then $200 lo..

the change and cleaning is rather simple lei, from the last time i see the mech change at TH. Maybe i feel its easy la, cos i'm a mech myself.

my views on the various recommended mechs for SW servicing are...
my PERSONAL VIEWS only arh!!!

BS... gave up, tor kor also not familiar with SW plus can't do a proper job warranty over, no intention of going back.

MW still not very familiar with SW, my conclusion after a chat with someone from there. i was the 1st SW to change tires there

WM may be familiar with SW but prices have rocketed since last year due to higher demand??? will go there if got something big (touch wood), then bo-pian pay the premium lor.

FS now lack mechs experienced in SW; had a not so good experience for a simple job... grrrrr.

Looi's is good place to buy but not familiar with SW repairs, played me out last year. change eo/filter ok lah.

K&T services are ok (so far), mid range prices but always very busy leh; only place that do synchronising among the shops i've patronised.

TH got lots of assessories/gadgets but need to avoid W (his price quotes are always higher than J). i kinda like the Liqui Moly 10w50 from there, intend change back to that after thailand trip

Like wat Bro Scoobydoo said, not all mech are well versed in scooter transimission etc cos they are quite specialized parts... Maybe you got to check anyone changed their belt and rollers and transmission parts at M_____W____ before deciding...

So far from what I know, only botak "service" the clutch, dismantlr into pieces and clean individually...

Specialized scooter parts I'll definately go back to him, I dun dare to try others in case any c*rk up...

will like to meet botak..heard fron forum that he is expert in sw! Where can find him? can put bike in his workshop overnight? (fri till mon). more time to do a good job. MW ..will think twice first..

Wife knock off at 7pm and by the time I sent my wife back, it is around 7.30pm. so any Swinger along west side and go together around this time ?

By the way, what time comes back as I have a IPPT test next day early morning at Maju

GP petronas is (petrol pump at gelang patah) or (petrol pump at gelang pateh)Cun rmm the spelling but the highway signs have this gelang thingy.Look out for it...

Gelang Petah petrol station is very easy, after going thru 2nd link custom and all..... keep left, ride for approximtaely 1-2km then you see a Big Sign with Petrol, turn in and you will pass by a hawker centre then you will see 2 petrol station - Esso or Petrona. Since most SW like Petrona, I propose we meet at Petronas Station.

Whoever is not sure, I can meet you(if you dun mind following a Spark on BREAK-IN Speed) at Jurong Bird Park car park 1st at about 1950H

Best IPPT is in PM cos body already warmed up. Of course cannot stressed up during work.
