Aiyah. Travel 9pm at night alone.

I can poke eye grab groin x3 also don't dare lah.

hanor hanor... better not to travel alone.

i had a close-call few weeks ago but luckily managed to "run" away. it happened when i was on the way back alone from sutera heading towards woodlands in the evening. while passing a group of i think 2 or 3 kup-kias (they were on the left most lane and i was 2 lane out), one of them suddenly swing out, crossed 2 lanes and headed for my bike. i got a real shock and luckily, my auto reaction "floored" the throttle despite brains blanking out due to panic. also lucky that the traffic wasn't heavy and i somehow managed to pull away just enough to avoid the crash.

now thinking back, dunno why i kept the kup-kias in sight when passing them cos wasn't suspecting or expecting anything... maybe becos got regular

better be safe than sorry... avoid travelling alone

HI guys,I'm looking for hagon rear shocks for my jdm,any idea where to buy them online?

hagon shocks can fit both JDM and FJS cos their bodies are the same.

try Wemoto ... hagon rear shocks for SW

see tech corner post #131

See my invoice here for the price:

P5210138.JPG

Got it from: http://www.wemoto.com/

Turnover inclusive of delivery is around 1 week plus. They reply pretty quickly to enquiries, and that's really good. Cheapest I've found online liao.

For the shock length, when Ah Chong and I measure it, it's exactly the same length from pivot to pivot. So, it's not really any longer.

As for the shorter spring. I understand your concern, but personally I rather use what they send me as I prefer higher shock as that will improve handling imho. Maybe you should try mine or Fusionjaz first before deciding how much shorter you should get.

Today ride through bt timah bumpy road, to sunset way. Really like the handling with the new shock, but quite uncomfortable when I hit the drain. Starting to like it alot. Can do tighter turns liao. hee

Scarab funny...

Anyway, day ride back should be ok.

Don't because of 1 incident stop you from enjoying the ride.

Well, evil lurks in the dark... so stay in the light.

You mean near the end of the road, where turning left is going back to town?

Maybe you want to find out if this model comes with oil filter or not. I happen to know that not all SYM 4 stroke engine comes with oil filter

If it is design without oil filter, then it is only most suitable for city riding. It is designed to remove contaminants from engine oil. Imagine operating the engine without oil filter, the contaminants just flow back into the system and may result to clog oil passage.

john, james and meself went down to see the bike. not bad for a Taiwanese make but that's only on the body, no one knows how the bike will perform until it is running on the roads.

didn't get to see the bike powered up cos batt was disconnected. from molesting the bike, here's some of my tots:

* it runs on a single cylinder engine, so expect it to run rougher than the silky parallel twin of the SW

* body styling (side view) and front compartments resemble much like the burgman 400 (compare both and you'll know what i mean)

* didn't like the "angle" of lockable compartments, tot things may drop out easily as base is not slanting inwards

http://www.singaporebikes.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=218348&d=1316333602

* seems no place to mount GPS bracket except to use the RAM "brake fluid reservoir cap" ball

* good that it comes with 12V cigarette socket and a USB charger in glove compartment

* backside view looks quite cool, i like the 2 big red brake lights but dunno bright or not

* stock windshield position is a little low for my liking, was told can fit it higher

* seating height is possibly near 1+ to 2 inches higher than SW

* sufficient leg room for rider to stretch out legs in comfort; similar upright sitting posture as SW

* under-seat storage seems slightly smaller than SW's, but compartment light is placed at "useless" position (in front) if you ask me

* i like the twin hydraulic support for the seat after opening (SW has only 1)

* both front n rear tyres are 1" bigger at 120/70R15 and 160/60R14... good news is diablo scoot has sizes for both

* i like the twin front disc brakes, compared to SW's stingy single disc

* finishing at some parts of the bike is very rough (can't expect too much la)

* paintwork not consistent at some sections (can see different color tones); but maybe it is intentional

* didn't like the normal black paintwork on both rims and front fork (looks cheap); SW's is powder coated and looks much much better

lots more info/pics here (but in chinese)

http://www.ibike.com.hk/01_bike_report/11/sym/maxsym/m400.htm

一分钱一分货... at around $13k, it is so much cheaper than SW, so dun expect to get the same or similar quality lor :p

other things to consider, if you're thinking of buying...

* strongly suggest you ask for comprehensive insurance (aka 1st party). if buy on our own, premium is only abt $100 higher than 2nd party (based on quote for james)

* such a new bike, availability of spares could be a concern even if under warranty
