did a speed-log yesterday to find out how much off is our speedo to "real " speed, done over flat ground (not downslope).

 

Speedo ... to ... GPS

 

90km/h ..... ~ 84km/h

100km/h ... ~ 94km/h

110km/h ... ~103km/h

120km/h ... ~114km/h

130km/h ... ~123km/h

140km/h ... ~134km/h

150km/h ... ~144km/h

160km/h ... ~153km/h

why stop at 160km/h (~9000rpm)? max throttle liow, turned till max but can't go higher... unless remove top box, lighten bike (e.g. no barang barang & lighter fuel load)

 

generally, the SW's speedy is calibrated about 6~7km/h higher. will verify again during the next trip on NS :slurp:

 

if you have similar calibration info, pls also post so i may update it in the SWing tech thread

Don't think remove top box and light fuel load will help.

 

Had tried 160km/hr straight after the U-turn route with no top box and in reserve mode while going in to refill a few months back. Can go only max 160. I also like you turn until throttle max liao...

 

On the contary, going down slope on NSH (during touring) helps to hit 170km/hr max for my Wing.

 

At 160, our Wing will experience power cut though some may claim to have hit even 180km/hr before. Not for me though.

Thinking of Durian cum Genting trip in end May or early June.

but problem in getting 888 deals (with breakfast) for Saturdays.

 

Only managed the below configuration (via Genting website):

 

1. 29-30 May (Fri & Sat) *Need 1-day leave and I don't have much left.

 

2. 27-28 Jun (Sat & Sun)

More likely this date...

 

Anyone got better lobangs or suggestions?

Local dinner outing:

Anyone know of VERY GOOD local food can just sound out the day and time for dinner in SG.

No need to be weekends.

I actually prefers weekdays just after work (7pm) but must give time to react.

 

This one no need big huha de.

Got ppl join and eat then very the good.

All busy and no ppl come also neber mind. Dinner must still carry on.
