I missed this in May 13 due to technicality.

Can't ride in Aug 13 (Ghost month). Sep 13 is too far away.

And therefore...

 

Date: 26 to 29 Jul 13

Leave applicable: 2 days.

Itinerary:

26 Jul (Fri) - Betong

27 Jul (Sat) - Betong

28 Jul (Sun) - Ipoh (Hot Spring)

29 Jul (Mon) - Back to SG

 

Hotel:

Betong - Walk in Booking (possibly Merlin 970thb or Mandarin 1438thb)

Ipoh - Excelsior Hotel Myr100 (for 28 Jul 13). *Book on your own. I've booked mine via Agoda.

If you want to eat ba kut tek, must move-off at 6am. Last Saturday, we set-off at 7am reached there at 8am. Super full house, waited for seat 30 minutes then order & service 45 minutes. You still want to eat....

Nice kaya/butter bread, nice tea/coffee and nice small little packs of Masi Lemak.

But 106km from GP ESSO.

Can go explore nearer, like Kulai?

sorry to hear that... need recom for a good chinese tui-na joint?

 

ya mann, riding the SW with an injured foot is quite easy except when needing the injured foot to also help support the weight of the bike. both SW9000 and myself had the same first hand experience which we hope not to have again :p

Go in by simpang renggam. It'll save you 5km... :angel: The trunk road there pretty interesting too...

this one the guys quite familiar... same location 2 blocks behind is the famous Makanan Yew Meng

Directions to Kulai (Makanan Yew Meng & Sze Hwa)

 

 

10 of us did a 1 day Endau Rompin Waterfall + Liew Lian ride in Mar 2011, had breakfast there :thumb:

the BKT is different style compared to kiang kee... more like teo chew 猪肚汤 style.

considering buying a CTEK batt charger from limbat or battery tender from amazon.

anyone using chargers care to comment?

 

anyone tried using 12V solar chargers?

just went for this TCM at mei ling st near queensway, its like a massage from hell.. damn pain haha, the shop inside full of frog figurines, quite funny too.. yeah a little hard to balance the sw using my right leg cuz not used to it.. cant imagine how im gonna ride if i were on my hornet 250..

i've arranged with Jamerson to join our meetup at Rail Mall CB club next thursday (13/06/2013).

he will help us renew our soon to expire policies for one final year (heard that Ace removing this product after 30/06/2013).

btw, just confirmed with him that new cases also can, but must be settled before 30/06/2013 :p
