screw is at the parking brake assembly between the exhaust and rear tyre.

if you look around the top of right swing arm (exhaust side), you should see the "parking cable" running towards the rear brake assembly. trace that cable to its rear and the adjustment screw at the end of that cable.

tightening the screw brings the parking brake callipers nearer together.

sounds familiar? yes, the SW's parking brake uses the same concept as our traditional bicycles' brake... pull brake level, level pull cable, cable pull callipers/brake pads together, pads bite the brake disc, generated friction holds bike stationary.

make sure not to over tighten, or you'll find the brake pads holding you bike back while moving and "makan" the brake disc away :pity:

Hi all,

I've been reading this thread but i not sure whats the average price for SW now. Came across an FBE plate SW GT400A with original registration date 30 Mar 2010, which is around 12k. I've ride Majesty before but i would like to know what should i be looking for. Things i took note of was below.

Year of manufacture: 2009

Original registration date: 30 March 2010

Current mileage: 40k

Exterior look: 8/10 with minor scratches here and there on body and exhaust.

Any tips? Thank you in advance! :)

1st hand SW-T Euro should be about 19k (from Agent or approved Bike Shop).

That bike is likely GT... Japan model, parallel import.

Can't really comment whether the price is right because condition of bike is important (accidents, mileage, wear and tear, etc).

5 years mileage 40k... compared with my SW-T 4 years 130k traveled....

Generally, I would use $2k depreciation per year. Others may use different valuation.

Hi folks,

I am planning to get a new SWT400 but I was told by some shops SWT400 is no longer in production this year as new model coming. Any updates?

Is Forza 300 replacing SWT400 this year too?

which shop told you that? i smell smoke

always check with Boon Siew about the latest SW model cos they are the sole agent for Honda bikes in Singapore' shops selling "agent warranty bikes" take from BS.

* Authorized Bike Dealers

http://www.boonsiewhonda.com.sg/boonsiew/dealers.asp?section=motorcycle

other shops? not say cannot, but they may smoke you so that can sell you something else which they have ready stock instead of having you "order-n-wait" for the SW.

Forza, born in 2001 2000 ... http://www.honda.co.jp/pressroom/products/motor/forza/

SW, born in 2001 ... http://www.honda.co.jp/pressroom/products/motor/silverwing/

cheers

amended: Forza born in 2000 instead of 2001

Some shops near to AS Phoon along Ubi Rd 1.

Possible. Unfortunately COE went up again. Dunno when it would come down below $3K.

Woohoo. Welcome!

Our meetings are usually Thursday at Rail Mall @ Bukit Timah (unless otherwise stated).

Very rare to have SW-T becos most would go for the Tmax and Burgy or the BMW.

actually prefer T-max or Burgman650 but over budget and for long run purpose... plus not a fan for Europe Bike~ :p

so, SW shld be more suitable for all rounded for me... *1-2 time touring a year and normal weekend day ride...
