yeah, intending to order grip guppy, so far for my previous bikes, i've used them, maybe because i find that stock grips normally too "slim" for my fat hand, i like the extra width it provides.

 

i work in tuas south, so the risk of having 'flying stones' kicked up by other vehicles are very common, thus i was asking about headlight protector.

anodise57, are you able to share where can i get one? and after i collect my bike, most likely to buy bulbs from you again. (haven't seen the interior of the bike yet, if space allows, maybe i will add on another pair of supertone)

Used to work @ Tuas for 3 years.... I got a hit by wooden crate in the morning. maybe 40-50cm LXBXH totally shocked me....if hit my face siao liao....

My headlight protector bounce it off....Reduced damanged... else headlight module would have been smashed

I used both BMW grip (previous 4 bikes) and GOG and now grip puppy.

Maybe my hand quite big so gripping now with Grip Puppy is most comfortable so far... Rode up to Hatyai so... ya i guess review should be legit.

GOG i used less than 11 months disintegrate suddenly then change to Grip puppy (6months of usage)..

notice there is a difference in material. The fiber pattern and spongey feel slightly diff too.

Maybe its just me.

i suppose you're referring to the clutch bell and clutch pegs cos SW has no clutch plate.

 

to know whether the bell is worn and needs replacement, you'll need to disassemble the clutch assembly to see and feel for "grooves" cut into the bell surface.

 

this bell below looks OK ... used but face that contacts the clutch pads are still quite smooth

this bell below looks NOT OK ... can clearly see grooves cut into the bell face

likely caused by debris or hard particles getting trapped/stuck on the pads, cutting into the bell whenever the clutch is engaged.

regular cleaning of the bell surface and clutch pads can help prevent this and reduce wear-n-tear.

if you maintain your clutch assembly well (e.g. cleaning and sanding off foreign particles stuck to clutch pads/bell every 10k km) and don't whack your throttle often enough, the clutch bell and pads can last a long long time; e.g. i'm still using the same clutch bell that's fitted in factory since late 2006, and change my pegs only after like 80k km... my odometer kinda stagnant at around 120k+ now that it's a "weekend" bike.

To all swinger tall with big ass.i have removed the backrest.shift the metal frame at the backrest bolt up ,then put back the back rest.this will enable the backrest shift further back and up.it gives more leg room and shift the rider weight back.

Give more support fort the big ass,more leg room, more back support and less weight on the front fork.

I think it improves greatly and should have done it long itme ago!

Got into some technical issues lately.

 

Speed cannot exceed 60km/h, anything above 60km/h the ride will vibrate instead of further acceleration.

 

Managed to ride it to a shop. After diagnostic, the mech discovered the Flap within the rear part of the exhaust are jam.

The primary function of the Flap is to regulate air flow. The gear actuator (controlling the Flap) was jammed due to wear and tear.

 

Did you guys encounter this issues? Any quick fix?

Thanks! Will find one day to go down to AC motor then. Question on tyres. Pirelli ok? 220 for a pair sounds reasonable ? Original Bridgestone is ex at high 300..
