Hi guys! need to find out what is a EVO 200 FY plate market price now. my friend wants to sell but he not sure how much to quote. He just did a top overhaul for the bike and new batt. but since he driving, he dun wan to ride anymore coz he's a pilot and not allowed to ride bike. Thanks in advance for ur help guys!

Guys, I just bought a X9 180cc Amalfi. I have a couple of newbie questions I hope you all can help out:

 

1) When the bike is switched off, whats the red blinking light (in between the speedo & tach meter) for?

2) The LCD meter - How do you reset the Trip 2, Mean 1 & Mean 2 readings?

3) The Oil light keeps blinking whenever I switch the ignition on, how to reset that?

 

Hope some kind forummer can help as it is bugging the hell out of me.....thanks

1) Thats the security light. Our bike will only start with our OWN key. Not others or dulicate keys.

2) Hold trip and Set button for 5seconds. The number will blink and then it will set to '0' back.

3) to reset you must open front cover under windshiled after you open find reset button on the right and press the button for 5 sec, after that switch on the ignition and check the oil indicator is still on or not.

I just pumped my second full tank...filled up 11 ltrs....but my total mileage is only 180km??? I thought a full tank can go an average of 300 km???? Something must to very wrong.....either I am super overweight (100 kg) or someone is stealing my petrol????

Check for leak @ the fuel inline or fuel tank.

 

Or like what you say.... Someone got free petrol.

 

i can travel 180-200km before it reach half mark.

 

Try this...

 

Every night and morning check your fuel gauge. see does it disappear overnight or while traveling. from there you will know why.

Care to elaborate whether did you reset your meter after pump? (Reset Trip 1 and Trip 2).

 

F/C for X9 180cc is between 27km/L and 29km/L.

 

For me, when the fuel gauge mark is middle, I'd have gone 165KM (with pillon, 120KG) on city riding.

The first time I pumped full tank (11+ ltrs), I resetted the Trip 1 & 2. Travelled 180 km (shown on Trip 1) and it touch reserve already then I went to repump to full (11 ltrs) - means its only about 16km/ltr??? What is the Trip 2 for anyway?

 

Try this first and let us know...

 

Monitor when the fuel drop.

 

Tonight after parking, remember where the fuel gauge is marking @. Tomorrow morning check again. does it drop a lot or little.

Before move off, check the gauge again. when reach the location, check again to see how much it have drop.

 

1st check is to know whether it leak or stolen when veh is park. Or your bike really have high FC.

 

If fuel line is crack, go to workshop and change.

How to check the fuel inline? What do I have to dismantle?

 

Simple check......

Check the floor after parking overnight.

 

Advance checking.....

Remove the left side footing and trace the fuel line.

I've check it before...nope I don't see any petrol leakage on the floor...I'll try to dismantle the left side footing to check the fuel line....thanks

 

If no fault is found, check your tire pressure, Spark plug, EO and Air filter.

All this play a part in FC.

feel like changing the EO myself. anyone know how? cause i go alot of shop don have motul V300, that i wanted.. somemore quite ex.. $40 everychange. i buy myself cheaper right?

 

discard the oil quite simple.. i ask the petrol station and they are able to do it.

 

you need a proper place to dispose, should be $30 or less for 300V mah per bottle

The bearings grade varies with bike shops. some buy the cheap ones while some get the good quality ones... so u need to know which shop to go.

 

the poor quality ones, u can expect to do your cone again within a short time, like 6 months or so.... the good ones can last at least 1 year plus to 2 years....

 

but of cos shops don't tell you what kinda of bearings they buy unless u are so close to them that they can teach u in depth type....

 

Main thing why 100 plus is becos u need to dismantle the whole steering area, then change the bearing part by part..... it's not an easy task at all...... perhaps u should sit down and see how they do then u will know/understand y it cost that price.

 

Of cos if u are experienced with this kind of thing, then i think u could do it yourself but for me, it's a NO NO.....

 

 

 

hmm... u mean 1L of Motul 300 cost $40 now??....if that 's case, u need 2 bottle of it, cos you EO is 1.2L and not 1L.

 

you can see the cone bearing come with original packing from piaggio, cheers

 

those after market normally dun come complete set, so they change some, some never change.

x9 fuel tank can go up to 14L.

 

maybe you should send your scooter for a check.

 

1. how old is your x9?

2. when is the last time you service and wat service?

3. check your trye pressure

I weighed 110kg.... Can go till 280km before hitting reserve... Maybe u must send ur bike for a check...

Soundless, I just the left side cover near the passenger footrest....fuel line looks ok leh...btw i monitored ...so far I travelled 20+ km and the fuel meter moves 1 bar. Is that bad? Guess I try 1 more full tank and see if the mileage improves or not...thanks for your advice

 

A rough idea...

Normally for me, The fuel meter will start to drop after about 90+~100km mileage.

Mid point i will reach about 200~230km.

I will reach 360~390 before light appear.

when needle is flat down, we should reach 430~450.

 

I have a good mileage is due to light right hand and some booster additive and proper oil change.

 

Tyre pressure front 220, Rear 240

Engine oil 10w40

recently my FC also increase.. same thing.. 20 - 30km drop 1 bar.. i dunno is it the Air filter.. cause i 9k haven't change.. previously just wash with soap and water without any petrol.. will take out and clean clean this few days..

 

EO i think as long 10w40 should be alright? ha..

 

Cheong.. if you worried your fuel line crack, just don't pump full. i always set 10Litres @ petrol station. Cause whenever i pump full sure see abit of leakage on floor (dunno is it my bike anot cause all parking lots have oil stains on floor.. ha)

i see. your bike condition must be tip top. my friend's bike digital meter not working so i think the price wun be as gd. internal is almost like new. with a new paint job it should be no big prob! the digital meter is only for music n gps rite so if not working its still ok for normal commuting?
