Hi,

 

This is with regards to X9 Evo 200.

 

How much is it to change Water Pump Bearing and Oil Seal ?

 

Second issue would be that whenever i start my engine from cold, the ignition of the starter sounds weak when i engage the button (Could it be starter carbon/battery/wiring/starter ?) .

 

Which brand of voltmeter is reliable, how much would it cost and where about to install ?

 

Third, what are the observed speeds for different RPMs X9 Evo 200 ?

 

These are what i observed on my X9 Evo 200;

 

3000-4000, 30-40km/h

4000-5500, 40-60km/h

5500-6500, 65-80km/h

6500-8000, 80-105km/h

The fan will kick in when your temp reach 1bar before red.

 

My RPM 5.5k @ 70~80kph

6k @ 85~90kph.

just wanna to chk. my water pump is leaking badly since last 2 weeks ago.. i have to put one 2 litres of water bottle in my storage to top up the water tank whenever i start off to another place. issit safe for me to just top the the water level? no $ to change leh.. ask 1 shop say 200.. i dunno the pricing as well.. any kind soul tell me whats the pricing? and if the water leakage meaning must change the water pump? not like stuck or what?

If you know DIY,Just open the water pump, there is a seal for shaft. Bring the seal to shop and buy the seal.( older model pump have diff kind of seal). Change the bearing as well. Just walk around and buy 2 pcs to replace, just a few doller only.

 

Else pay 200~220 to ppl to change new whole set.

coolant -$18.50(Maxima coolaid)

There is a buzzing noise when i insert key into ignition switch.

Sound like some valve moving thru and fro.

Is this normal? what is that thing that activate?

Answer 1:

If you just wanna change the bearing and oil seal, it should you less than 100. But i will advise you to double confirm whelter the shaft worn or not. Personally, i will advise to change a new original set > main reason, complete set coolant pump *Bearings, oil seal, fan shaft and big fan was done by machine push, so it should have min. wear and tear and it will last longer. There is cases around, re-con collant pump worn out after 3-6 month, end up you pay more $$$ repairing it. Hope you get what i mean, if you need more informations you may call me for more details.

it might be also the starter gear. Making guess here will make you more confuse, may be you can get someone to check for you.

Volt meter brand is up to personal, cost should be about $50 - $90 with install.

 

Answer 4:

 

Different bike setting and different weight will directly affect the RPM Response.

Check out the front analog meter.

 

The fan activate depend to the fan switch, some 1 bar before red, some 3 bar before red. WHY? because some wear and tear and had been replace, the latest fan switch for our bike was the same with the runner, So it activated 3 bar before red.

I would not advise you to do that, end up you mind be paying more $$$ repairing others items.

 

Over heated or coolant pump spoil may cause >

 

1. magnet Bush broke

2. Magnet need to replace because of the bush

3. Coil need to replace because of the magnet

4. thermostat over heated

5. thermostat cap leaking

6. radiator leak cause by NO proper cooling system

7. Engine cyclinder head over heated, the copper cover leak, engine overhual needed

yes there's different between them, just like manual bike.

yes if there is lots of clutch dust around.

if your clutch need to be service, there would not be worth it or not as it had to be done. Wondering how bad yours condition is???

Some shop form of servicing clutch is to just use air gun blow clean, re-lub some parts and put back......

 

Wonderful motor take off the whole clutch system, dismantle the clutch into pieces and clean parts by parts. Re-lub all bearing, parts, and clean the whole transmission area.

 

You are welcome to drop by his shop to take a look how he do before putting your bike.

 

I have service my clutch every 5k and the feeling is great.

The initial moving off is very smooth and fast(no clutch slip)

 

All above will cost less then $40. Unless bearing/s required to replace.

Yup, the sound comes somewhere around the front side (analpg meter).

When new... The engine very responsive.... But about 1k, the bike like sluggies and FC start to drop from 28km/L to 22-25km/L.... Make me have to do another Oil change @ Malaysia.... REAL REGRET using it.... somemore more expensive then 7100.

 

Sometime engine oil brand is not importance... Wonderful motor EO is using MotorBest. Till to date, i have never regret using it. But its only good for scooter.

 

300v when i reach penang have drop about 2-3mm of oil from dip stick.
