Hi Everyone

Just got my X9 today and am really excited about it. Kept coming back to this thread but don't seem to be much activity. Look forward if there is any meeting.

Would like to ask if it is normal for the red light with the exclaimation mark coming on each time I press on the brakes?

Anyone painted his/her X9 before and how much does it cost if it's single colour including the box.

Also, can I change the orange indicator lens cover to clear?

What would be the 1st thing you will check with a used X9? Mine is a 2003 X9 180cc.

Any advise or recommendation is greatly appreciated.

Till to date i only see 4-5 Red X9 before.... The rest is dark red/maroon colour....

I was thinking lime green also.... till we see the colour on the bike, we nearly fainted...... Fugly.....

such a bad bad day today..

cant start my bike in morning but somehow manage to start it still till reach office but can sense my x9 bike like dying :(

relieved thou managed start my bike after work n straight to bikeshop. decided go futurescootering. took sometime to rectify the issue, but friendly mechanic i can say. it was due to 'starter relay'. pheeww...manage to get it up and seem can ignite normally after few tries. last customer of the day b4 close shop..

 

just 5-8 min rode off and stop at traffic junction, bike died again. back to square 1 n cant start. sadness. luckily haven reach xpressway, if not stranded while waiting for tow service. nw just hoping bikeshop can solve this issue tomorrow. im just clueless now :( bad bad day....

Starter relay have nothing to do with engine.

 

Check your fuel any water inside or foul sparkplug?

i dun think there is water in my fuel. yesterday alredi check the sparkplug but mechanic say ok..no issues..

yeah...bike alredi back at the bikeshop...hoping they can rectify fully the issue soon...

The engine can start, but quite slugish/irregular RPM..

 

Check the fuel filter is there any water inside your fuel.(left side foot rest opening)

Check the Air-filter,

 

Change a new sparkplug should be ok le...

 

The problem should be the fuel or the sparkplug only.

i b very glad if its just the sparkplug or the fuel/air filter issue.

bt the shop told me its the magnetic coil!! sigghhhh...

wat damage is that...almost $400 gone...

 

Wow.... Coil cost $400.

i wonder till when do i need to keep changing n repairing my x9 till i get a problem free bike. every 2-3 mths sure got something conked up. from the day i bought the bike till now. everytime i will change, n everytime different part spoil. recently my fuel gauge gone crazy. botak already repaired the fuel float (or watever u call it...the tube in the tank) twice, still not ok. today going there agn to change it.

 

this is the latest of parts i need to change. so tired of having parts spoil.

From the day i got my bike till now......

 

I change 3 set of tyre liao.....:cheeky:

1 water pump,

1 coil+magnet,

rebuilt engine once.

And.... 6set of brake pad..... LOLZ......I wonder how i brake de... don`t ask me....:angel:

 

And float gone swimming @ least 3 times le....

 

The float need some skill to assemble back de....Else you will have some little problem with it....

Maybe got time i help you.
