i b very glad if its just the sparkplug or the fuel/air filter issue.

bt the shop told me its the magnetic coil!! sigghhhh...

wat damage is that...almost $400 gone...

Wow, it not cheap. But, Piaggio (ADH Pte Ltd) only RRP$ 180.00.

(just the magneto coil itself). Check with ADH personally.

bro.. how much u spend that time for 1 coil+magnet?? n which shop?

I think magnet with coil will cost about $300+++, how about coolant or the magnet bush?

Less than S$300 should be able to get :---

1 pc of Magneto coil

1 pc of Magneto rotor

3 pcs of Magneto/Water Pump Screw (Magneto Bush I assume ?)

1 bottle of Coolant (depend on individual prefer)

The horn on my X9 seems a little soft. What is the loudest horn available that would still be able to pass inspection? How much would it cost? Thanks all in advance for your reply.:cheeky:

From the day i got my bike till now......

I change 3 set of tyre liao.....:cheeky:

1 water pump,

1 coil+magnet,

rebuilt engine once.

And.... 6set of brake pad..... LOLZ......I wonder how i brake de... don`t ask me....

And float gone swimming @ least 3 times le....

The float need some skill to assemble back de....Else you will have some little problem with it....

Maybe got time i help you.

for tyres n brakes i don mind. its normal stuff to change. i jus changed my tyres also. my float last wk also went swimming. botak had to "fish" out the parts 1 by 1 from the tank. he was the one to assemble it. i hv no idea how to do it...so i guess if he cant rectify it, neither can i. last wk went there, no more liao. so this wk will go there agn. its not totally gone, but reading on the gauge gone haywire. sometimes meter is up, sometimes down.

after few bikes which nvr needed me to go back n forth at workshop, i feel like this bike is really "sickness" prone. every now n then sure got problem. but jus totally love the ease of riding it n also the space it has. that's y wanna change biike also thinking twice....

Yo Shorty,

My fuel gauge & display panel gone few days after i collect it, till now didnt bother to change, as long the bike is running & i have a comfortable transportation thru & flow to work can liao, i juz estimated whn is the need to pump petrol, but nvr took the risk.

peace..enjoy ur ride..hehehe

hi ktm121/Shorty;

i owe these "problems" (display panel malfunction) before & can understand the frustration you guys are going into. In a year of 2003, i changed it three times straight in a row with the agent, Piaggio. they knew all along it is not tropicalised for use in this region while they are working on a solution.

the 4th set they installed has this conformal coating resolved this problem, which I've took it off to ascertained. the problem of short circuit seems to go off but the moisture sealing is not good enough. (They just have too high pride to recognize the fact). I live with this legendary problem, parking my ride under shelter & ride only when it is drizzling.

And if you want trouble or minimum free bike but die die with Italian design scooter, perhaps a X9 250 could be an option. This is just my opinion and 2 cents worth.

cheers

joeling...mine IS the 250!

hi Shorty;

This problem is probably addressed by the agent, if not is one time replacement to get it fix. I don't have much 'encountering' of issues other than this & in a few months it will be due for renewal of COE.

I hope yours is just as simple discounting the norm wear & tear parts.

cheers

after chg my magnetic+coil, im not sure if its related to the issue i am facing now. my x9 seem to lose power n my cruise top speed is only at 80km/h, rpm ard 6-7. once i try go faster, the rpm suddenly will jump 8-10 or somethimes even til max 12rpm.

at such i will just lose sudden power of cruising n has to limit myself to 80km/h. any1 can advice?wat cld b the reason...

Best to bring it into a workshop to check. Better check early to avoid further damage.

On your right lower side cover, there is a small rectangle cover. Open it , and you will see the spark plug suppressor. Make sure that the spark plug suppressor is firmly attached/connected to the spark plug.

thanks winjing... but it's not spark plug suppressor issue, it's owner issue.. I lost my key, then I went back to take another 1, and it's not original key (some third party computer programmed key) and thus the engine jus can't start, no matter how I crank it...

sigh.. tow the bike all the way to Botak and he asked me got another key boh.. then I said got, then try liao, straight away can start.. F5ck! I tried unscrew here, dirty my hand.. sigh.. all the while, I thought it's the rain water which cause the problem.. :S the weather really tricks me.. wasted $25 + whole afternoon + worry for nothing..
