thanks for the heads up mr biker! i think that's a 'local' set so might not give the same effect as an original one..don't want to risk it :p

Agreed dont put your own life and others in danger. Some parts of the bike can buy after markeu but for braking system I will go back original or get a day to scrap yard they may have it. All you need is to get a bike shop to service it.

This is my 2ct so don't take it to heart. We are all bikers and hope we go out in 1 piece and go home on 1 piece. Ride safe guys.

Hi @faizal_gaz, about the MP3.. I really love this scoot alot.. For my daily commuting, it's very practical.. Loads of storage, confortable and stable.. If you think that X9 very comfy and stable, you should really give the MP3 a try.. You wouldn't feel any difference with the extra front wheel, only when you make an emergency brake then you will realised that the scoot is so much stable and superior in braking(comparing with normal bike without ABS).. But it's abit sluggish during acceleration compared to my previous X9 even though my MP3 is about 50cc more, probably due to it's own weight.. Plus, mine is the fuel injection model and it gets much better mileage than my previous X9, sadly the tank is smaller at only 12L compared to the 16L that X9 has.. Hope this helps, I wouldn't mind having a kopi session with you all to share more about my MP3.. After all, we're all scooterist..! Cheers..!

Wow..! Looks like you've got acouple of wild and interesting ideas for your scoot.. Just like me, I too intend to fit a 300cc block to my MP3, hopefully it's possible.. I nearly got myself an X9 250 also.. Haha..! Do you intend to swap the whole rear end..?

Not really...just wanting to do up to 200cc...then change e variator and clutch to dr pulley....tts all...

Ouh ok.. To add more "punch" to the acceleration right.. Same here, my MP3 250 just lack abit of acceleration.. But I don't want to rely on aftermarket parts, that's why I'm doing a research if I can get it bored up to 300cc using an original Piaggio block, not those from Malossi or Polini..

Why not e aftmkt?i m using it...not a prob for me...

Haha..! Promised myself that I'll keep this scoot running "stock".. Enough of aftermarkets on my other bikes.. Poisonous man, it's never ending.. Anyway, I know aftermarket parts doesn't last as long as OEM parts.. I may be wrong but it's base on my experience..

thisisme, you should get suzuki burgman 400, honda sw400, yammie majesty 400 then. their pickup is incredible. but sorry is your x9 amalfi 180cc or evo ?? my former 2 evos had very good pick up. future scootering once suggested that i increase my evo from 198cc to 300. was tempted but worry because x9 temperamental like many italians. mama mia.

i am riding amalfi 180cc and i find that it don't have the pick up and most of the time non-peak peroid or espeically petrol run at night i'm almost to full throttle most of the time.... i always thought that X9 have a very good pick up.

it is an old scooter. you should meet many x9 riders. amalfi is comparatively slow in picking up. maybe it hasnt gone for any good servicing??
