Bought my Tmax almost 6 months ago and Looi's Motor installed the new type IU in the front right glove compartment. To date no issues at all.

 

I bought velco straps and double sided them to the base of the IU and the bottom part of the glove compartment. This is to prevent the IU from sliding around inside the glove compartment.

 

As mentioned again, no technical issues so far only remember to remove Cashcard when not in use.

 

The left compartment also have a power connection. Can buy original one from Hong Leong to tap power for your IPOD and other electrical things like GPS tracker, etc.

hi guys,i've just fixed the balancer @ $85,(HKL).heard my mechanic ah jiang saying there are quite a number of T-maxxer went over to him for servicing..there's a guy fixing a remus system and just had a PC done up,is it from anyone of you here??cos i LOVE Remus,my previous FJR was using it..sweet roaring sound is has..earlier back side itch,went to paste the 3M sticker on the plastic front cover @$80,dunno how it look like..will post pic once it is ready..

i`m using Leo Vince SBK II with PC done up too..dun expect a super sound from the tmax..its not as bassy as previous models..if u remove baffle..i tink would be alot louder..but piercing loud..not nice..

just back from HKL,go polish swee swee and on the way back heavy rain..:cry:fixed up the balancer+slider(2in1),look a bit strange,but handling slighty better..on the 3M sticker on the front cover,a bit dissapointed..front part is beautiful but theysticker the rest at the back of it,initial fixing back is difficult then after some cutting getting better...

Yeah, I've been servicing my 05 MAXXER there for almost the past 3 yrs aldy... Ah Keong has the entire Parts & Service Manual for the '05 - '07 FI model TMAX.

 

but I seem to realise that prices have been increasing slowly & steadily over there leh...

guys,during the run-in process,do the bike consume petrol like hell??just came back from loyang temple,went to top up and discover i got 13.5km/ltr..anyone encounter tat??

normal for the fuel consumption to be bad during run-in period..it will improve with time

Cannot be that low. My 09 model from 1st day already around 20km/l. Now since i switch to 95 unlead at Caltax even got around 21.5km/i. Never below 20km.

 

You need to convert cos the bike is in miles.

i average on abt 130+miles till my needle hits de low mark (not yet reserve,but almost)..with my mods + not so easy on throttle riding..

 

Calvin,meaning ur getting 200miles per tank?wow..thats amazing..

 

in the states (maybe coz of long freeways) they published fuel economy at 47Mile Per Gallon n Tmax has 4 Gallons of fuel capacity which is 300km per tank..

yup everything is calculated in miles

 

recalculate your fuel consumption again in miles, i am sure you get around 20km/l or better

Not sure whether i am calculating correctly. For a fully runned in Tmax 5 months, using Caltax 95, i get approx. 170miles for 13 litres.

 

If i am calculating correct, then it is 13 miles/ litre. Coverting it would be 21.67km/l. Am i correct guys?

Waaah! i have been missing out the actions lately... My 14 litres tanks can reach over195miles (over 300Km) when it is almost dry. And i really mean almost DRY! Its abt 25 miles on the F-trip meter.

Wow,been riding these few days..really wonderful to have the T-max,damn relaxing..only suffering the run-in period,those stupid lorrys keeping tailgating me,resulted me keep changing lane to let them overtake...really wish to whack to the max,let them smell my smoke,hahaha:cheeky:

Ya soon, cannot agree more! So fast can go until this morning i open my letter box and kena one traffic summon $150 plus 6 points.
