Try my mech. He has repaired and overhaul quite a number of burgmans. Anything just call me.

shouldn't we give some chance that it might have improved over the years with newer models? now already K10 model... can't be that Suzuki, that does many other big bikes and cars, cannot solve such a simple problem over time...

most burgman 400 & 650 have the makan engine oil issue. till now 2010, the 650 is still using the same engine.

as for the 400, engine was upgraded from SOHC to DOHC since 2007. but, still makan engine oil and the clutch is badly design.

so much i love the Burgmans comfortbility, storage & its stability, Honda always deliver the best engine.

thanks, my burgman 250 keeps having idling problem, FI light comes on intermittently, engine dies off often, anybody knows where a good place to service the fuel injector?

Have just enquire For u. For FI, u need the computer to diagnoise. The only thing u can try is remove the FI sensors, clean it and put it back.

I just saw this post.

Thought, I should share my experiences with my Burgman(s).

I have own 3 Suzuki Burgmans.

The 250cc, 400cc & 650cc Executive.

I have NOT experienced any 'missing' engine oil problem except due to the 'float' irregularities that measures the engine oil level.

It is just irregularities NOT because of evaporated engine oil.

Which means, if Today engine oil level is low.

2 days later, it will be back to normal level again.

Without topping up.

To monitor my engine oil level. I will park my Burgman 650 Exec on center stand & leave it all night.

Definitely more than 6 hours at least to get the best reading.

Anyway, I do not ride all my Burgman 'harshly'.

Meaning I do not Full throttle all the time at traffic lights.I practice occasional revving but not 'forced torturing push'.

If you know what I mean!....

To me, the Burgman; especially the 650 Exec is just a comfortable transport, with valuable humongous storage for work or leisure with power to overtake when needed.

*If I want speed & agility, I would have gone for super bikes.

They are designed for it.

But there is always a trade off, like.....

I do not like to carrying helmets after parking of my bike.

Gone were the days, when I was younger where I like to "show off" my high end Arai's or Shoei helmets. :p

Dont get me wrong. They are great helmets even the Italian made ones, like AGV or Suomy.

I will still buy them but only if I go tracking.

However, for now I am more focus on my work no time for it.

Anyway...............,

On a final note, I only ride my current Suzuki Burgman 650 Exec at least, 2 or 3 times a week.It is my spare vehicle.

You know what they say....

'Once you love to ride, you will always love to ride'

Peace ..

I mean no malice.

Do you mean the Burgman does not use dipstick to measure the EO?

burgman 650 does not have the dip stick to check the engine oil.

its the same as big bikes, using the glass window to check engine oil.
