i nvr tried changi vicom.. previously went to khaki bukit vicom with single headlight for my x1-r and still passed the inspection.. actually cant say which 1 not that strict cuz it depends on the inspector whether he wanna pass or fail the inspection

i suggest kaki bukit vicom because if something fails, a lot of bikshop is within the 3km radius

They also quiet lenient when inspecting.. Most they will ask u to change for the mext inspection..

Spark & X1R have the same engine components except the 4th gear.

The gear ratio in the gearbox is different, therefore can go a little bit faster. Get what i mean?

 

So you can just buy an X1R and change the gear ratios in the gearbox and you are done.

 

Anyway anyone interested in changing to Hel brakelines? $100 front back inclusive of installation. Brand new.

• smooth gear change
  
• signal right easy but signal left is against natural thumb action
  
• front n rear suspension are both very stiff, not really comfortable, considering the very thin seat. not as comfy as my wave. riding posture more like my old x1
  
• rear brakes don feel like disc brakes, maybe still new.
  
• total ran for 50km for the first day. will update FC by this week.
  
• cornering capabilities no idea as I don test the limit.
  
• engine capability.. also no idea since running in. but definitely feels much powerful than my honda C70! haha.
  

 

Finally the new sparks is in.

But seems like the malaysia version is better (dual front brake pistons caliper & bigger disc). colour scheme is nicer too (black engine case) compared to sg silver.. sad.
