The bike does not come with a sight glass. That is where your dipstick comes in. I believe you skipped pages when reading the manual. If you did not you would not have missed how to check your eo level.

it says clean the dipstick thoroughly with a cloth then dip it inside without screwing it in. then take out and there should be a measurement of some sort. yes i know this may sound foolish but i do as what the manual said. but i still can't see any indication of my eo. i mean, the dipstick is black even thought i wipe it off. dip it in and took it out again and i see some liquid, which is also black at the tip but i don't know if my eo met the recommended mark...ill try to get my bikeshop check my bike for me soon but hoping just i don't get conned.

Alot of stuff I don't know and here and there I read the manual, it always says get a Yamaha dealer to check for you. So it doesn't help me much in my learning process...

Zat, last time I go centre for my theory lessons also they got tell me. At the dipstick got high and low point. If the oil is more den the cross faced, means it's too much. If you stick your dipstick after wiping, den only kana the end point, that's very low. Hope you understand what I am trying to explain to you...

Cheers bro, the gurus will go into more detail aite... Cheers all ride safe

oright, i think i can say, my eo is on the maximum level mark. anw, how much does it cost to get my IU unit on the side panel instead of my handlebar?

If the bracket can fit to the side then just pay for labour charges. If not buy a bracket for the iu. Should be cheap and hassle free

Goodnight spankers.

Please ride safely guys. Lately lots of my friends got into an accident.Take care of yourselves and take a second to check your blindspots even if we have the right of way, our lives are at risks thanks to inconsiderate drivers.

MDS? Enjoying the breeze kape? I sense bromance in the making. Heehee. :p
Now I know why you suddenly popped out after a very long demise. You are attracted to the BBM activity. You want some of it.

It's MBS, stands for Marina Bay Sands... MDS is what? Marina Day Sands ah??? Hehehe
My bad. The ink for my letter B ran out. :faint:

You clocking post? Suddenly forgot how to multi quote is it?

I know bro, what i want is 14 36 which gives me 2.57. That what im saying. Haha.
Sounds like it will have some difficulty in moving off. Not suitable for city riding with lots of traffic lights. But what do I know I am still on stock.

Its been happening for a long time already. Drivers who does not have a motorcycle licence does not give a rat's ass about riders. There is no right of away for us. Either way we will get hurt. Just try to keep away from erratic drivers.

Free if you know how to do it.

Isit just take out the cowlings and place the IU along with the wire on to the side and drill a hole in it? I'm tempted about doing it but afraid of ruining my bike. How do you drill a hole on to the panel part?

You guys are just bad. Haha.

what i mean, is the material of the panel. Is it just drill it in or what?

Just go to a shop and get it done, saves you the hassle of stressing your brains. If the mech were to do it not to your liking, scold him.

u can juz use normal drill but b4 doing dat, u hav to set on the position & know wats behind it. its to prevent damaging the wirings. better if u can dismantle the part dat u wana drill on 1st.

juz to share. for me, i juz tie the IU on my basket. dis way i oso wun do "harm" the any body parts.

Which panel are you talking about? These panels are actually quite 'soft'. There isn't any need for a drill. You can just use a screwdriver and screw to get a hole done. Just apply a bit of force and do what you would when screwing in a screw. And common sense will tell you that you need to use a pointed tip screw and not a blunt one.
