You have to tell more.

If your sis's pc can connect then obviously the problem lies with your pc.

Connection is wired or wireless ?

mac filter is like a filter in the wireless modem which prevent pple entering if someone set ur wireless address. Maybe thats the case...if others wireless device can enter and onli u cant..that maybe not the mac filter case liao.....hehe:cheeky::cheeky:

best thing can reset the modem and reconfigure it lor..haha:thumb::thumb:

Few things to consider, few places to look (in order):

- Can your PC see the wireless router (SSID)?

- Did you enter the correct key (WEP or WPA password)

- How did your sister got her computer connected to the router and hence, to the 'net? Did she simply switch it on and without touching anything, was able to surf? (DHCP)

- Finally, are there at least 2 concrete walls in between your PC and your router? How about whether the PC is near a 2.4GHz cordless phone? (signal degration)

I don't suppose MAC filtering would be a concern because usually, companies that manufacture network products like these usually ship with that feature switched off.

If it was active, the PC can't even see the wireless router when you command your computer to scan for available wireless networks around it.
