not really good... safety features not very appealling.. no abs, no air bags.. if got the budget, buy something decent... my bro just went into somebody back when he approaching a red light.. the car in front suddenly jammed brake. given his following dist, hs shd be able to stop.. however, the wheels locked and skidded... bonnet and bumper need to replace...

10. Why have you chosen such a high front impact test speed?

By carrying out frontal impact tests at 64km/h (about 40 mph) we are simulating a car to car impact where both cars are travelling at about 55 km/h, a speed shown by accident studies to address a high proportion of fatal and severe injury accidents.

hi,

currently driving one auto pica for abt 1yr plus liao......

+ quite spacious,

+ no prob encounter...

+ Furhterest trip is Melaka...

+ No Prob on High Speed

- Slow Pick up cos no power...

- Drink Water abt 10-11km/L

My advise is to buy Manual Pica, Fuel consumption is > 15km/hr & more power... But u dun mind d power & slow pick up, auto pica is a good choice, nice & cheap.

Cheers!

:cheer:

Anyone knows how much to change a fan belt for Picanto?

My wife Pica has a screeching sound whenever she turns on the engine (whenever the engine is cold the screeching sound will come alive)

Check with C&C and they charge 200+.. wanna get a cheaper deal..

Thanks any bros who have any workshop to recommend and their contact nos..

Picanto is still surviving well. i saw a lot of SF* and SG* plate picanto on the way. Guess the old rival Hyundai Matrix is totally MIA from the road.

It has served me well for the 1.5 years without hiccups. Look forward to driving it for another 2.5-3 years with it.

Upz for this economical car.

most decent cars that has been in production for 3 or more years should be maintainable for many good years. you don't see some end of line models is because local mechanics don't have the parts or tools to support it, or most owners scrap cars for the parf and coe rebates. only those that renew coe will most likely last another 10 years wan. its whether willing to pay for replacement parts or not.

Pros: zippy, handles fairly well for a car its size, economical, engine not as slow as u expect, cheap to maintain.

Cons: wind/tyre noise, cheap interior (get the leather seats), small boot space.

currently, what are you driving?

think of why you want to buy a car for and how much you will have to "feed" it.

dont fall into the trap of jumping into a hole which you cant climb out.

the ultimate consequence is you get buried alive.

just being brutally honest.

if you think you can only afford an OPC Picanto, it means in reality that you cant afford a car.

sincerely

have clocked about 23k since owning this car for 19 months. Drove the furthest to KL, top speed 140 KMPH, stable speed 120 KMPH, FC about 14 KMPL with gear changing at 2.5-3 RPM

Affordable at 23K, the price allows me to co own a car and a bike.

Excellent for point A to B and of course tried filled up with 4 full grown man big size one including the driver, the car becomes sluggish. Haha well cant expect more when it is only 1.1L

Looking forward to drive it to Penang, guess it will perform to my expectation.
