Just called Herbert. He says the low seat is coming in this week (soon).

But it'll be really low -> 1 inch or 2.5cm lower.... Which will result in not being able to fit a helmet under the front portion of the seat. But still can put raincoat.

And it costs $200 to buy and install at the showroom....

Don't think I want the low seat now... Haha. But for those who want it, give Herbert a call first, so that he can bring the seat down to the showroom from the store for installation.

So far, only 1 rider installed the low seat.

The X10 is really lovely in terms of design.

But yet they haven't manage to convince in terms of maintenance in Singapore. My X9 180 was

a good example (or rather a bad one).

Price wise I think it is going to be pretty much closer to the Kymco or the Sym.

They probably revamp the design (which is long overdue) coz the Taiwanese are giving them a run for their money.

The more I see the X10, the more I think it looks like a mix-match of the Yamaha Majesty 400 and Suzuki Burgman 400. Haha.

Well, I would think Piaggio will be more expensive than Kymco, but of course, still cheaper than the Japanese.

Till date, SYM still the cheapest....

Quick synman, mai tu liao, ha ha.

My mileage still 25km/l constant.

Regarding our rear wheel not moving when idling - it is due to the rear brake stopping the wheel from spinning.

After I discover this issue, I push the caliper a bit and the wheel start to spin. After riding back to the same again.

My bike 10000km liao....constant 33km per litre Shell 95. Rear wheel does not spin during idle either

Yeap. Rear wheel shouldn't be spinning during idle. Or else the bike will auto move forward like an automatic-gearbox car at idling.

I guess this is how the bike stays stationary -> the brakes auto engaged, or by default is grabbing the wheels a little (on straight roads of course).

Anyways, the meeting at Bt Panjang Plaza tonight, 7pm still on. =D

We're meeting at Macs =D

Hey Synman,

Nice to see you back, I always keep an eye here. The clutch is doing very well, 4 months have passed so I guess it is safe to assume that parts have settle in by now.

All I can say is that the noises that I had are gone, vibration when pulling away has been reduce dramatically, there is still a bit of vibration but I will call it normal compared to the crazyness that I had before.

Is it worth? yes and no :), the unit is not cheap and on top of that I had to change the bell (for a Kymco branded one) as the original one lost a bit its shape and I beleive was also guilty contributing to the noises and vibrations. I am very particular with noises and it really bothers me so in my case it was worth it, FC stayed the same maybe it improved but just a tiny bit.

From all the information that I foundwhile doing my research :), what you have right now will not do any damage to your bike which was my concern.

Appart from that how is it going with your bike?

Yesterday I hit 7,000 miles = 11,265 km and the bike is one month away from its first birthday.

@juanpauk

Hey Juan,

Haven't been coming in for a while.

Was on my mind to check with you how the Dr Pulley is doing on your bike?

Wow. Welcome back.

One month away from the first year, and you've only covered 11,265km + 1month... Not bad. Pretty low mileage.

I'm only at my 6th months of riding, already covered 10,100km. Haha.

I'm quite tempted by the Piaggio X10 leh. Haha.

But don't think it'll be cheap when it's sold here though. The underseat storage is stunningly HUGE!!! Can almost put 3 open face helmet lor.... Haha.

Anyways, just wondering, the glovebox for DownTown, the lock can change to the cabinet/ locker style locks right?? Haha. $2.50 locks bought from hardware store can use right??

Haiz. Found out after buying a $2.50 cabinet locker, that it doesn't fit into the glovebox hole. The glovebox hole is a special shape.... =(

But other than that, the mechanism is the same.

I will only apply when the plastics feel super dry and rough. Haha. I'm quite lazy with regards to keeping my bike spic and span....
