Ya I agree underseat for Xciting sucks big time.

Not that it sucks. It's just not enough for me. For others who don't need the space, it's good enough for them.

Herbert told me Xciting 300RI do not require full syn oil. Just half syn will do, otherwise might harm the bike more than doing good.

To me I tot full syn sure better than half syn mah but he said if I wanna my bike to stay hospital faster then can try lor lol. To me your "yet" is cos I waiting to see if the Xciting 400i is worth to switch and within my means bo and if I change then I need to pay attention to EO I use liao lol.

What i think he meant by using synthetic will spoil engine.

- Synthetic will last slightly longer than mineral/semi syn hence longer drain interval. Eg Mineral change 2000km-3000km, semi 3000km. If using syn will be 5000km. If you use until 5000km without an oil filter to filter the tiny particles which will flow around all the metal parts it might wear off some engine moving surfaces. If using at high engine speed wear will be even faster. I think the theory is like that.

Then you ask him, what if i use synthetic but change at 3000km? I think he may pause a while and tell you waste money ha ha.

I've been wasting a lot of money liao changing at around 2000km only but i only change oil filter at 5000km since it's so clean.

Ask him again how synthetic will spoil the engine. I also interested to know. Maybe he knows something we don't ha ha.

the mirrors are great! There's really no loss in viewing angle despite the smaller size. But it does make the Downtown look weird. Haha. Stock mirrors of course makes it look better luh....

I cannot agree more haha.. .but it's not that bad la.. . Cheers bro!

10 hole injector means it consume more right? But even then I still can't accept the low FC your bike giving lor. I definitely make sure they solve my problem until FC reach as prescribe in manual lol...

Theoretically yes since got more holes so can spray more and faster but because there is an oxygen sensor at the exhaust which measure how rich or lean the mixture is and adjust the injector timing accurately. if spray too much fuel the unburnt fuel pick up by the sensor will tell the ECU to inject the fuel lesser hence reducing wastage. If the sensor sense that the mixture is too lean it will tell the ECU to inject more fuel.

So high fuel consumption are not cause by more holes and faster injector, i think.

Any xciting owner changed their rollers? Or added variator kits? Or bored kits?

Actually he did explain to me before but anyway will ask him again when I go for next oil change.

Maybe your sensor not working properly hence unable to tell ECU accordingly?

Not at the moment How does it helps by the way? More torque?

Don't bother to just change aftermarket rollers. If wanna change, either replace with a new set of stock rollers, or buy an aftermarket variator with aftermarket rollers.

I had my experience with Dr Pulley rollers with stock variator. It didn't work well =( People with good experience bought with them aftermarket variators and aftermarket rollers as a set (will cost $300-500).....

Haha. You're reminding me of something of what I've learnt in sch on another item. Ya. I agree with kongfu, maybe there's something wrong with your fuel/ O2 sensor.....

Hi bro

Lighter Rollers is faster pickup

Heavier rollers greater top end.

As for variators if I am not wrong its the plates which control the 'gears'

BBK. ...need I say more? Lol. ..

I have been trying to get info on the blocks but no info so far.. . Anyone got info to share?

actually single is not that bad lah.... for twin, if not sync properly you will get worst vibs

Wow another swinger who switch to Kymco. Can I ask how do you feel about the switch especially being from a twin cylinder to a single?

You are clocking 34/L and Parotae is so much lesser when you both ride the same bike. That's why I thought Parotae should really have his bike inspected as on the long run, he's really being short-change alot on petrol.

I use ok leh 16g.

Find it still too light. want something like 18g.

Original 15.5g 100km/h @ 5900rpm

Dr Pulley 16g 90km/h @ 5900rpm (Recently) Use to be around 5900rpm @ 100km/h. Will monitor some more.

What the difference?

Pick up slightly faster. How do i know? Cars will be smaller in the rear view mirror than previously with original ha ha.

Dragging will be harder (higher rpm means pickup will be faster) and reach peak torque sooner.

Eg, original roller with full wide open throttle will reach peak torque 6500rpm after around 110km/h

Dr pulley will reach peak torque 6500rpm sooner at around 100km/h.

Something like that but since my dr pulley not heavy enough, the cruising rpm is the same as original.

That's why i am looking at a heavier slider with same pickup as original but lower cruising rpm.

actually apart from the noise and a little vibs i find this kymco handling quite good compare to SW. if only it's a little more powerful. will wait for the xciting 400i and decide if i shd change.

Just popping to say hello.

I just left my DT with the mechanic, for the 3rd full service and asked them to do the valves clearance adjustment and I am getting a set of new tyres, the Michelin Power Pure SC also they are throwing in some dynabeads on them, first time I am using this stuff, anyone here with some experience with this?

@parotae

Wow 18g, isn't that oo heavy? you know better than me, I found the 15g Dr Pulley rollersto be a good balance for my daily trips to works (heavy traffic) and weekend trips outside the city.

The only thing that I started noticing recently is that they make a rattle noise when the bike is on Idle, I have installed a brand new set of Dr. Pulley and the noise is still there. When I reverted back to the original rollers the noise was gone.

My bike is cursed with little noises, I think I need to buy a better helmet or earplugs:)
