see u have ur own defination of safety ah...

Argument 1: Statistics show that people who spend more time on the road have higher chances of accidents.

Argument 2: Faster u travel, the shorter time u need to reach ur destination.

Bu combination of 1 & 2, u get this:

"When i speed, i spend less time on road... Hence less time on road means lesser chance of accident"

Moral of story

More u speed, more safe u are...

WOW!!

Hi Guys,

After trying the walkie talkie me get abit carried away and bought a pair from the regular shopping spot mustafa- Motorola talkabout (model no:)T5550R up to 5miles...about $89. you can use its rechargable NiCd battries or 3X 2AA battries. Frequency 462.0 - 467.0, MHz 22 channels each with 38 codes.

Now I need to buy the neck-mic...not in a rush...but sooner or later.

So now I have a pair, Palary have a set he might buy another/upgrade set..and some of you buggers already owned..this make our life smoother...

There are other models up to 8miles but I worried it might interfere with other parties frequency..those lower range about 3km is for singapore or I say local use no need to subscribe for a licence but cost about $120/-

The talkabout T5550R I bought is an export set -Not to be use locally well -we are not going to use locally- right!! then it suits us very well.

Don't worry, those frequency are international consumer frequency, So any walkie u bought all over the world carries teh same frequencies, I think Singapore restrict the mileage is becos Singapore is so small, what can happen is that u may interfere with other Walkies sets...BUt not likely to interfere with any other Civil service RAdiso.

Hi Guys,

Any meeting tonight at KTM about 2230hrs++ ...If you guys are "ON" call me...! I know some of you going to the 2nd link to top up!

I think that mctan, BackOFF, swift and the holy handsome buggers should meet for a cuppa coffee, tea or some goreng pisangs :hungry: ....to solve your desires ~ you buggers are going thru..he,he,heee..!

BackOFF, I'm only using the nighthawk handle bar ~ not the bar raisers and never did like the idea of using those bar raisers at all, felt like not safe to use even thou some of the buggers swear by it usage...with confidence.!

Hi mctan,

We- half of the handsomebuggers are married with some school going kids and still young at heart..he,he,hee!... Your are staying at central part on SGP (AMK) other buggers like Swift, Jleo, BP and I think Palary are nearby central area..

We don't do meetup as regular as other rider groups does ...as most of us are working and on shifts..but we do meetup if there is a ride coming up to discuss about it..or we meet 2weeks once or 3 weeks once....

If there is a meetup we post it on the thread and mostly SMS to each other... you can find my hp on the earlier threads- just SMS me so I have your hp...places of meetup keppel road KTM, Jln Kayu and kallang behind mcdonald...or sometimes we meetup those 24hrs hawker/food centres..

If you like to top up at 2nd link there are few regular buggers (Custom, Euro, Oxygen and Swift) B]Almost Every Friday night[/b].

If you want to clarify some doubts about this bikes we are happy to do so.. to the best of our knowledge.

Hi mctan,

For the handle my suggestion is to get those TP handle bar cost between $90 to $100, and no need to buy those handle bar raisers...and you need to spent another $30 to $50 on the extended clutch cable (tp using) thats all...!

For the screen it is up to you, there are few makes on the market (need to be ordered) it all depends on your liking as for me I preferred the medium size so I can keep my (head) and upper body cool...

If you are looking for those high screen- they totally deflect off the air/wind so it's going to be very hot behind the screen...

I'm using the givi screen medium size ($160) slightly higher then the OEM screen. Yamaha (HL) has slightly higher screen for diversion that is about 6cm higher then the OEM which comes with the bike, expect to pay around ($180).

Eagle screen, skidmarz -have higher screen but need to be order...for the skidmarz most of us have bad experienced from the importer.."biketech21"..as for the eagle screen take only few weeks...to be delivered but it is best for you see some of our bikes..then you'll know what is best for you.

Keep some records(logs) like what you have done/modified and spent/changed on the bike..this is good for you..(based on the logs mileage) You will know what and how much you spent on the bike... and use this as a guide to your next oil change.

Hi mctan,

As for the touch-up my suggestion temporailly leave it as it is...try to get use to the bikes characteristic first.

After few months later you can do all the neccessary things you wanted to do...(it's only my suggestion) I think you know~what I meant....

Hi mctan,

I preferred to DIY on paint work if it's a small portion, coz not worth getting it done by the PROs.

Diversion's silver colour code is 070, recently I bought a touch-up paint stick (Mitsubishi A69) for $10plus, at Auto Bacs - (might be wrong spelling) off Bt Batok East Ave 6 - beside SHELL, color quite close to the silver color of the Diversion. They also have the putty for repairing damage or scratched body kits.

So if U can DIY and it's just a small portion, then drop by Bt Batok to have a look. :goodluck:

If U really want a good paint job, try Ong and Sons. I think they are located at Loyang.

Posted

Autobacs has got really interesting stuff but unfortunately everything is in japanese... Later touch up paint become paint removal then finish liao loh... kekekeee
