Hi mctan,

For the handle my suggestion is to get those TP handle bar cost between $90 to $100, and no need to buy those handle bar raisers...and you need to spent another $30 to $50 on the extended clutch cable (tp using) thats all...!

For the screen it is up to you, there are few makes on the market (need to be ordered) it all depends on your liking as for me I preferred the medium size so I can keep my (head) and upper body cool...

If you are looking for those high screen- they totally deflect off the air/wind so it's going to be very hot behind the screen...

I'm using the givi screen medium size ($160) slightly higher then the OEM screen. Yamaha (HL) has slightly higher screen for diversion that is about 6cm higher then the OEM which comes with the bike, expect to pay around ($180).

Eagle screen, skidmarz -have higher screen but need to be order...for the skidmarz most of us have bad experienced from the importer.."biketech21"..as for the eagle screen take only few weeks...to be delivered but it is best for you see some of our bikes..then you'll know what is best for you.

Keep some records(logs) like what you have done/modified and spent/changed on the bike..this is good for you..(based on the logs mileage) You will know what and how much you spent on the bike... and use this as a guide to your next oil change.

Silverghost...o_O

Hi Sliver Ghost,

Thank you very much for your input.

May I know what is the height different between the GIVI medium windshield and the original one?

As what you say, I prefer to have some cooling breeze but not too much while riding.

Keep the front view clear is important while riding. Especially some drivers like to kana here kiri there without looking at the side mirror or blind spot.

Hi mctan,

I preferred to DIY on paint work if it's a small portion, coz not worth getting it done by the PROs.

Diversion's silver colour code is 070, recently I bought a touch-up paint stick (Mitsubishi A69) for $10plus, at Auto Bacs - (might be wrong spelling) off Bt Batok East Ave 6 - beside SHELL, color quite close to the silver color of the Diversion. They also have the putty for repairing damage or scratched body kits.

So if U can DIY and it's just a small portion, then drop by Bt Batok to have a look. :goodluck:

If U really want a good paint job, try Ong and Sons. I think they are located at Loyang.

Since there is colour code, it would easy for me to find the suitable paint to DIY myself on the lower fairing.

So far I have not much problem in handling the bike, but dun noe at high speed and tour. The height and weight is just fine for me to handle.

Actually I would like to correct the postings.. I've seen the Diver 900 upclose. They are used not by TP but by ROV.. I haven seen a Diver 900 with TP plate.. I've met one yesterday behind Sim Lim Square. He was waiting there for some crazy bike to escape ERP perhaps or come in thru the opp dir. Anyway, I didnt dare to start my bike cos he was there, I was afraid he would book me on the spot for illegal exhaust.

Correct me if I'm wrong, maybe TP do use them and someone has seen them? :bouncefire:

Brocks Rocks!!!! Best for Kawa.

What is power without control?...

Hi onghi,

Maybe you can make a trip to Hong Leong (Yamaha) service centre at Paya Lebar. They do service for traffic police also. :thumb:

I guessed that fellow U saw is from ROV/LTA.

Currently ROV/LTA had just purchased abt 20 new VFR800 to replace their old fleet of Honda CBX750 and Yamaha FZ750.

As for TP & State Police, they are currently having the Divvy 900 as their fleet of bikes. Honda CBX750 and Yamaha FZ750 facing out liao.

If U still can't tell the diff, look at their number plate, TP = TPxxx, LTA = ROVxxx.

Uniform all same, except ROV having a black "century egg" on their chest area. Some TPs having white "salted egg" on their chest area. :hungry:

Military Police still using their faithful honda CBX750 and CISCO now having Vtec S4 adding to their old fleet of CBX750.

Hi Euro,

I have pull out the part no:27 it is reusable no problem.. about it, there is a plastic pin in the center of 'that plastic screw/bolt' you pull it out the plastic bolt/screw can be remove easily..without much effort.

As for the part no: 26 it is a thin sharp washer plate with a X slits in the center once you remove..... thats it cannot be reuse.. :sian:

Hi mctan,

As for the windscreen -you must have a look at some of our bikes, that would give you some idea's.! o_O

Not all of us buggers have the same screen on our divvy - givi, skidmarz, mra, eagle screen and........they all are in different heights, widths, colours and design. :giddy:

Now you know why?.. I say that you need to have a look...

On the avatar picture-you can see my bike with skidmarz screen(former) quite high and hot...!

Update on Krauser Parts.

Bad news...

There is only 1 set of complete locks that is using 1 key at the moment. (I am getting that for myself) However, from this source, the plastic strips are not available. So I am unable to help order.

The dealer has promised to keep me informed once he checked with Krauser about another set of complete locks (for Custom) and also the plastic strips.

Sorry about this.

Hi Hondavtec666,

It nice to know some of the riders are very positive and wise to take on a diversion, it's an everyday and a very practical bike...which that requires minimum attention...

1) Long distance rides is a matter of getting used to it...it can be quite hectic...for beginners and first timers, a new bike requires a different level of experience, taking it has a 'challenge' and to be satisfied it by yourself is another thing.... about guidance Bro no worries...we all are learning too

2) Meeting up -we can do it this weekend Saturday 30th July at Jln Kayu first prata shop from SLE/CTE at 2230hrs So guys how about :hungry: kopi/supper session, mctan how are you dropping in??

About the front TP fairings you think about it.... '$2000' all just for~ those add-on's plastic...it's up to you, individual likings!!..If I have those extra cash- I'll spent on riding gears and so...infact thats what I did!! ..

The source who has the plastic strips does not have locks with similar keys. Therefore I am unable to help as it involves payment to different source in different currency.

If anyone wants to take it up with the other spare parts, feel free to PM me and i will forward my email communication with him to you.

The other option will be to wait for a reply from the source I ordered my locks from....... and decided then.

Sorry again.

suggest tat u can meet us up to see which acc. suitable for ur demand.

Wat ur "target" bike has is heavy handlebar weight, slider, maxia if I recall correctly.

Wat our bike have are TP/nighthawk handle bar, various height wind screen, bellypan, crash bar, spot light... etc.

Most of us in fact will like to have the TP cowling look but give up due to the cost.

Like SG meantion, we'll rather use the $ to buy better tyer, riding gears etc.

Until god gives me a POOL of $$ then I'll consider this option....

U may try... :goodluck:

Anyone using the Acumen Gear Indicator?

Vector One quoted me $180 for the Acumen, $50 for labour charges.

I always lose count of the gear I'm in, thought that the Acumen gear Indicator would be help to me. But $230 quite X!! :help:

Maybe we can order together and get a discount. :thumb:
