I'm getting a custom riding jacket with Diversion words on it.

It is rain proof n CE armour as per my beijing supplier claim.

Have ordered a set which will be arriving by end of this mth.

est. cost is abt $183 include postage.

Pics attached:

Wah, that's a nice one.

But instead of having the option to remove the "DIVERSION", can be the big Yamaha Logo remove?

I prefer to remove the logo and shift the "DIVERSION" up abit, look better and cool from behind. :thumb:

Any sample for viewing?

hi Yappiez,

Tyre squeaking check the tyre pressure it should not squeak like the car...and tyre only squeak unless MSc/p is wet...?

Try to pump your tyre air pressure inbetween solo and with pillion(load) recommended PSI...

If you have just slap in a pair of tyresFYI manufacturers applys' a thin coat of light lacquer to prevent the tyre from being dehydrate maybe this lacquer is the culprit which making all the noise...

You not suppose to play corner or ride your bike fast, until you run-in the tyre for about 100km ((for best road grip "recommended by workshops" wear out the coating 1st))...

I think oxygen using Metz Z6...

Silverghost... o_O

My rear tire is almost finished. Not new. Squeaking has been there since run in. Squeaking only occurs on dry carpark surface and dry road markings. (arrows and words)

1 guy I know using Z6 has no squeaking.. Maybe its really the tire pressure. I will try it out.

Hi Casper4xxx,

The guy- who sold the bike was BP the ubi driving instructor, he have well taken care of the bike...change oil and maintenance...Don't worry about that..

Ask your friend to take care, do some cleaning and polishing...

Before taking over from workshop ask the workshop to replace all oil including brake fluid, shaft oil...So your friend knows when the next oil change is...starting from him!(something like resetting/zeroing the trip meter)

Hi Jleo,

Clear-carbon-san ask about you...ask me to send regards...

When its time to replace it ?

When your 1st to 3rd or 4th gear looses that grip, I mean slips, lost of pick up ~ need higher RPM(throttle) to move your bike - (those gears you play engine braking)! will show signs...

It takes some time to wear as most wet clutch last longer then dry clutch- systems.

If you are always on highway~ in your case! - it takes much.much longer to wear...

Hi Uncle Custom,

Thats a nice jacket, BUT as what yappies says remove the giant Yamaha LOGO from the back and bring Diversion higher will look better...

Those words were they sewn-on or iron-on...need more details about it - as for the size you are bringing in '2 samples' ~need to try on to see which fits better, the L or the XL size..

About the armour padding is it CE type or the soft type padding...

What materials are they using...?

I thing you need to have a :hungry: meet up....! (when you have those samples)

As stated, only one sample will be send over to me as it is very very costy to build only one sample.

Also stated that the diversion wording is optional.

I saw it and I've fell in love w the jacket and juz though that it will be gd for our diversion group. If the respond is poor, than I'll call off the deal.

Also note that the price tat quoted bear not profit but juz only interest at heart. All communication w BeiJing are at my cost.

The armour is hard type with CE approved stamp on it.

Jacket is suitable for long distance riding and will be a bit hot for singapore only coz it is rain proof.

For size wise, they are of same standard w the normal jacket. For example if u wear L for most of the jacket, then it will be L for this one also. If u never own any jacket, maybe u can go to any of the reowned shop to test the size.

As I stated, when the sample arrive, I'll call for a one time meetup to let u see see look look and touch touch(will be on one of the Sat night).

For others that can't make it, then we will see how to arrange coz I outstation most of the time. :cheeky:

PS: I never never so much in love w any jacket except this one. :lovestruck:

mctan, if i'm not wrong, your Divvy fitted with the lower fairing? How's it? Does your bike's temp get heated up very fast?

:thumb: Saw this pics, the mirrors (FAZER or FJR) are fitted to the front cowling, looks good. But would it caused the cowling to break? Sure need something to reinforce it behind the cowling.

Yes, mine with a lower fairing, I don't how fast is consider fast...

I always caught in the heavy jam, causeway jam (1-2hrs).. engine ok.

With the lower fairing, while riding at night.. I feel shiok.. cause the warm from engine will blow to me to keep me warm lor...:cheeky:

Hi BAckoff,

I was interested on this design before-actually using a Fazer or R1 mirror I ever ask SK(sengkwang) to do they give me alot of excuses.....

'YES' you need a bracket to hold the mirrors that need to be weld to the cowling frame and 2 holes either side so the screw/bold can go thru into the bracket.

About the lower cowling -It is not advisable to use here ~ your engine is an air cooled not a water cooled...those bikes using a water cooled already having heating problems even thou it was assisted with an electric fan....imagine when you stuck in a jam... and you cannot install/mount the engine guard...

mctan,

no problem as I'll not ask for any commitment. Juz shows of hands that r interested. Actual buying will only start after the meetup which I hope can be completed by within a week coz I also do not have time for this type of thing.

Also feedback from supplier tat he will need at least 5pcs of simliar words embossment/stadded for ecomy of scale subject to complexity of e design which will advise in case to case basis.

This is wat I can bargain from now.

PS: sh*t... wander y i get into this mess.... :cheeky:
