Me riding cbr400/fireblade have this problems:

 

1. have headlight cannot start/no headlight can start

2. now can push start cannot electric start

 

Battery no problem cos changed twice..

Spark plug changed..

Rewiring done..

 

Dunnoe need to spend how much more lah.. wasted.. Now miss riding cos my bike at carpark only like put in museum.. i too small so not strong to push start all the time... HHEEeeellppp!!

I from PCS .. I tink you are the same team as me .. Seen u quite often , coz your GPR exhuast is very loud ... Today is your rest day correct .. I happen to know 1 of your colleauge who is riding a fazer 1000 with akar exhuast .. A malay uncle ..

Sometimes have to off headlights to start but then now u can't start at all with or without headlight.

~~~must be your starter got problem eh. Changing it cost around SGD 100, it will last around 1 to 1 and a half years.

~~~Later go and try starting again, it will start after several attempts, then faster ride go to a bike shop and leave it there. But it depends realli on luck.

I've been through that before... My bike also can't start but after unsuccessful attempts in push start, the starter worked... then at bike shop wouldn't start at all.

Haha u are wrong ... The Rich people are doing the refineries !!! We consider downstream company ... When times are bad they have at least 3 mths of bonus .. during the good times is up to 13 mths .. Meaning work 12 mths = 26mths of salary !!!

ermmmm....that shud be normal la bro,try not to on anything when u start ur engine,cos by on ur headlight o other thing wil pull ur batery power make u cant start ur engine after that,u can try push start again,just remember dont on anything when starting ur engine,correct me if i wrong..

sounds like starter carbon spoil.....u press electric start ur bike izzit got the "tiak tiak tiak"sound but no cranking?

Bike starts after awhile of warm-up the bike just dies off. no lights can be turned on also.

checked is not fuse problem.

hey guys ask u all ar i changed my radiator and pump not long ago cos the mech say my bike radiator spoilt cos inside rusty as the pump is pumpin water no coolant liao o.o den i flush coolant and change tis and tt startin ok but now the prob like back again bike gets heated up v easily and the temp realli rises a lot... like cruisin at ard 80 or 100km/h the temp can reach till M and almost to P... any1 noe wats the reason??? i suspect is nidda do valve clearance....

If your coolent level drop mean your head gasket gone liao ..Need to do a top overhual ..

valve clearance has nothing to do wif ur temperature problem bro...

 

ur mechanic is not wrong in saying ur radiator spoil coz they do step by step troubleshooting.. since u change all these parts and still got problem.. den wad tec said may be true..

Hello Guys!

 

I am considering to upgrade my cub to a CBR400RR as daily use. Since these bike already kind of aged, so maintainance-wise and reliability is the main focus of mine. Especially the engine cos i know once you need to open that four cylinders it will cost you a lot.....Suspension can be rebuilt or upgraded in a relatively low price, brake system as well. Here's the general doubts i wish can get some info from you guys:

 

1)When viewing this bike, what's the most important things i should check and how to? what's the "checkpoints" for a healthy engine?

 

2)What's the normal maintainance cost? What parts are mostly give problem, how often they start giving problem and how much to settle them?

 

3)It's the spare parts easy to get at reasonable price in SG? Little bit worried cos it is a 15~20yrs old bike, afraid those rubber, wire thing will let go anytime lah....

 

Compared to the riders who selling CBR400 at SBF, i dun know if it's a comsiderable deal to get a CBR400 from the shop with 3month warranty at low-3Ks price if the engine is in good shape. Never really own a 4T bike so lots of unsure feeling, it will be easier to me if it's a 2T bike...just give good 2T and rev it! Even overhaul not very very costy. Haha!
