guys i just did some servicing, like to check if the price is reasonable or wd. i changed my coolant to maxima-$20, changed fuse as fan not working-$10,did some welding of frames-$20,front brake pump kit-$38,front brake caliper bracket 2nd hand-$20,motovation balancer-$60.total $168. is the prices reasonable?

 

 

coolant to maxima=$20, (kalau nak jimat, $6 je DIY)

changed fuse for fan=$10,($0.50 sebiji fuse kat spareparts kereta)

did some welding of frames=$20,(TBA)

front brake pump kit=$38,(kalau kit original=murah)

front brake caliper bracket 2nd hand=$20,(TBA)

motovation balancer=$60.(harga standard)

Cuz some bike shop day it's nt important n it won't effect the bikes performance at all....

 

if the clearance is too wide,

the nodes will wear faster.. the nodes are part of the cam shaft.. if wear til too severe, hav to change the whole cam shaft..

the clearance that is out abit is still ok..

the valve clearance control the opening and closing of exhaust and intake valve..

out of rite clearance will mean the opening and closing is not that accurate..

Guys.. Just wanna ask u guys... Valve clearance is it a must to do... If don't do will it damage the bike in anyway... Thanks...

if the valve clearance(Tappet clearance) too large, Cam lobe will push the tappet a bit, at the same time, valve opening is not enough will coz less AF mixture into combustion chamber.

 

anyway its seldom happen this........:sian:

eh juz to ask is this maxima coolant the red coloured 1?? lol... if it is, juz to check is tis coolant gd for our bikes??? hahas cos quite interested in usin it in my next flush...

any coolant which contain Ethylene glycol(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ethylene_glycol)

 

i am using the Mercedes-Benz OEM coolant,

just $6 per 500ml.

so for my Hurricane nv reach 3/4 of temp meter.

u need study back base single cylinder 4-stroke engine

maxima and waterwetter are water based coolant while engine ice, common coolant are glycol based coolant..

the diff is the anti freeze agent.. maxima and waterwetter dun hav anti freeze agent which doesn't concern us in tropical country like SG.

glycol is a poor conductor of heat which means the heat energy transfer is slower..

engine ice is advanced glycol which is better than normal coolant..
