I'm a newbee with CBR400, can anyone help out with some pointers. Pleeease.

 

First - Proper Engine Revs.

1st gear =how many rpms?

2nd = how many rpms?

3rd = how many rpms?

and so on...

 

 

Second - Fuel Consumption

On a full tank my bike only goes 200kM and then reserve. It is parked out in the sun day-in, day-out so fuel evaporates. Also, my exhaust pipe sounds modified.

 

I read that some of you can go 260kM and above before hitting the reserves.

Are your bikes have the same condition but still goes beyond 200kM.

 

 

Third - Exhaust Pipe

Can a modified exhaust pipe be restored back to normal without replacing the outer casing. (its nice and shiny)

i normally change at 4.5k for 1st gear

the rest all 5k then change

2nd = how many rpms?

3rd = how many rpms?

depends on wat kind of mod... if tong liao it's quite irreversible... have to change the entire end can loh... the nice and shiny thing most prob is tat the pipe have been rewrapped

hello everyone...i am a new rider here..nid to change engine oil too...what do you guys think of ELF fully-syn oil? quote at $15 per bottle....second thing is when i travel at 110km/hr onwards i can hear sound frm the front, issit bcoz of my front tyre or the fan is switch on automatically? if i open throttle more to 150km+ ,i can hear screeching sound frm either windscreen or side window...is that normal? can someone give some advice?

i tot fully syn engine oil shld have lower viscousity compared to semi syn one?
