i'm thinking of getting a CBR 400 in Dec but not quite sure of some details

Could you guys help by replying some qtns?

 

1) Hows the fuel consumption like?

2) Full tank can dong how many clicks? (ave speed like 100km/hr?)

3) How many spark plugs? How many km b4 replacing?

4) How much 4T? How many km b4 changing?

5) Will the machine makan 4T? (my friend's 4T dried up... he's riding TA 200)

5) chain + spocket change when must change?

6) tyres how much? normal ones

7) top speed?

8) Insurance? for 2nd party, 23 yrs old

Beginning dec or late dec?

Mine R model if you want, can get from me, but must be before december bcos my insurance expires 13 december. Taking class 2 lessons on 10 december onwards.

 

1) Fuel consumption is 330km/13.5liters of Esso F1 at Pelangi or Singapore Vpower. If using Caltex platinum can tong until abt 345km before need to switch to reserve.

 

2) Average speed of mine is 100-110, sometime expressway 120-129km/h. FC as above.

 

3) 4 spark plugs. I only change mine since abt every 12 000km which is every 2 engine oil change one time.

 

4) 3 liters of 4T. I used repsol 4T and castrol R4, both fully syn. I replace every 6000km as mentioned in the manual.

 

5) Will not makan 4T like TA200 which is my 2B bike last time. TA200 everytime engine very loud and rough means very little oil inside and time to change 4T. But this one use until near 6000km still the same no difference lei.

 

6) Chain and sproket change only when they rust or when they are not flexible anymore, meaning the chain cannot conform to sproket smoothly due to internal lubrication spoilt. Sproket change together with chain. When sproket teeth sharpens or chips, time to change.

 

7) Some got power cut. Mine is 195km/h cut. But manual say 180km cut I also duno why.

 

8) My 21 years old insurance 1 year experience for 3rd party is 360+ before NCD, the bike shop forgot to claim NCD for me, lugi 10% or 15% I duno and I never bother to claim. Think nobody want to take 2nd party insurance. This one not confirm. First party confirm nobody take.

 

Decide on which model you want to buy, then read up the old cbr400 thread to find out more. Do a search an type "cbr400" then u can see the old thread which have 80+ pages worth of valuable info except the last few pages full of craps haha which is the reason its locked.

I got lobang that time thru a fren.

The bike shop uncle also shock...bcos he keep arguing that no more ntuc 400cc insurance for honda bike except renewal case. But i bet with the uncle and I got it. Haha.
