This proves tat the previous owner didnt maintain n hack care his blade. So there will be some problems of the blade... whether u change the coolant or not... the problem will come. its jus a matter of time.

true.. when i just bought my cane, i also was given free "milo oh siew dai". I didn't know about it for over a year.. then I came across the haynes manual and found my milo. Flushed it and felt a sense of accomplishment that day. Went for a trip to batu pahat that night and everything started to come a part. Hoses broke, radiator leaked :giddy:

later on a mechanic told me, if the milo has been inside, then leave it inside. The milo is a stable coolant for the bike. Something like "no more oxygen to rust the parts already". When you introduce use new coolant, the water will carry new oxygen and speed up the corrosion process. Otherwise, the coolant with the parts should be ok for another couple of years.

Chemical engineer can confirm?

Now my cane running on nice green kryptonite solution.. hehehe..

Pictures of my Yoshi for sale for those that were interested. Going for $90 for any bladers from here, otherwise I would advertise for more in the garage sales section.

Also standard fireblade end can in good condition with bracket for $50, good for inspections, selling as I have 2 and only need 1 for yearly inspection. Didn't take a picture of this as its just a standard end can, no damage, good condition, will even give it a quick polish and clean for the buyer.

is true that the milo will be lack of oxyen compound to carry on the process of oxidation(rusting)..

however, the air which is in contact wif the water in the coolant reservior will still contribute oxygen compound.. equlibrium state.. diffuse from high state to low state..

but the process is slow..

therefore is better to change it..

for the benefit for yr engine and yr "balls"

that y pple still add coolant water into the reservior instead of plain water..

distilled water the best..

the green stuff u add in hav anti-rust agent and anti-FREEZE..

in sg, no need of that.. actually anti-freeze is bad conductor of heat.. resulting bad transfer of heat from engine to the surrounding..

juz buy anti-rust agent coolant is gd enough..

:thumb: Great answer.

But when your radiator is rusty, it's effectiveness will be very very low. Heat transfer coefficient drops drastically when there is residue buildup on a heat exchanger (radiator is a liquid-air heat exchanger). I rather replace the radiator than to let my engine always run hotter that it should. It's $200 worth spending.

The green stuff is really anti-rust and anti-freeze made from a mix of methanol and ethylene glycol. It is absolutely unnecessary in Singapore and you are better off with an anti-rust surfactant. Waterwetter comes into mind.

play around wif the wiring by adding a switch to each bulb..

or u can juz simply unplug one of them and tap it well to avoid short circult..

Yeah, I have been having trouble finding Waterwetter in Singapore, and I cannot bring it back in my luggage because it is a liquid chemical.

Where do you get your Cool Aide? Do you get the concentrate or the ready-to-use? I want to get the concentrate and keep for long-term use in my bike and my future car.
