Nah its alright...

who goes into corner seeing what speed their at...

Is all about the feel. when u really the among of speed u keep pressing into the corner, u'll be frighten abt it..

hmmz .. Slowpoke34 ya must be good in track.. can exchange tips with ya somedays.

I think due to the set up of the g4.. as legs are high up causing u to lean infront more. den plus u jam brake. throwing ur body infront, bet u must be doing a late braking to improve on ur timing. nice style.

Its an Art for doing late braking.

slight mistake and ya gone.

Ya cbr is great for tracks and touring..

The "LCG" gives u the potential to go really low and stable.

Slowpoke34, are u riding the yellow cbr in the pic ??

no la i not really that good on track...still learning the trade. no problem exchanging views sometimes...but i am very conscious about what i say so i seldom talk about track riding...big responsibility giving advice u know, coz if u give wrong advice people crash coz of u not so good la

and yes the setup played a part in that near mishap as well...and the brakes they are just so powerful...i knew the bike endo abit when i felt the front going really low then i didnt feel engine braking on the rear wheels...immediately let go abit and gripped the handle bar tight...then the bike wobbled like mad

yes that is me in my siggy...

Last but not least, u know the bike quite well don't you. Alot of people dun even notice the LCG words..It is IMHO the main strength of the NC29...it's very well crafted...not just calculated...

Sitting position preference differs with riders. No point saying which one is better. I personally prefer NC29 to G4 overall, so no; I wasn't thinking of riding on it.

It's just plain fatigue from riding far. Riding 300km away is no joke. There are people who will say it's no problem, but I doubt if they will ever say they are not tired.

Sitting position does help with lessening backaches tho. There is no beating the comfort of sitting in an upright position while riding. Or sitting in a plane for 30mins. to get there

but unfortunately till now i do not know how to make the bike corner like the nc29. and for this i prefer the nc29. on the track you'd need to work the bike more, but the nc29 sure takes a huge amount of beating thru the corners and stays the line unless the rider makes ridiculously stupid mistakes or the tyre goes off.

You're right. The NC29 is stable in corners and stays so until the tyres go over the limit. It takes some effort to push it into the corners and to muscle it around. Overall I think it's a very confidence-inspiring bike for track.

So, I see you are that yellow CBR that owned us all that time. I need pointers from you lah.

I've gone up n down Sepang a few times on the NC29, bike won't have problem if maintained properly. Cruised at 140kmh-160kmh once hit highway...Good speed to travel at on the bike...You get to see some nice sceneries along the way...That is what I call a good ride on normal roads....

The only problem that arised came from me - fatigue!

My trips up north have been great.......

The blade was very easy to ride and handling was good....

All you need to do is full servicing.... 140km/h to 160km/h cruising speed on blade is no problem...

It's just that I got some good teachers and I really put alot into practicing. My ride is also no ordinary road going bike so that's why there was quite alot of advantage in my favor.

I'm happy to share info anytime during track sessions. But in the end practice is what makes a good rider. I can only help clear some doubts.

Haha, my very first question is the capability of tyres. What tyres were you using when you took the picture in your signature? I think normal road tyres (I refer to GPR70SP and BT090) may not have the grip required to give that lean angle. My last crash was largely due to my GPR70SP giving way at max lean. The footpegs weren't even grinding yet.

I have always been using GPR70SP. The best known laptime clocked by those tyres is 1.46 on a CBR400 (not me though). Of course the rider was highly skilled, but it also showed how fast the tyres can go as well.

I would guess that your fall was due to worn out tyres?

When i was a learner i used BT090...then as i started to improve it began to slide a little. Then it went sliding all over the place...and i got scared of it.

1:46 is very impressive! I think Amba's RVF uses GPR70SP too. Now that there is no more GPR70SP in production, I am debating whether I should use BT090 or Supercorsa. Probably the latter since I don't ride that bike around town much.

Other riders told me the tyres went through too many heat cycles, aka I should have changed the tyres after X sessions. I didn't because the threads were and the tyres didn't give me any warning before giving out totally. The price of the repairs can easily buy me a few sets of Supercorsa liao. Sigh.

Anyway, care to share the mods you did to your bike? Especially jet sizes and exhaust?
