Helo to all riders.

Is RVF rectifier and battery the same as CBR FireBlade?

And can the rectifier with fins be used on FireBlade?

Stuntlover..... I did all that at Sanfu and I would say they did quite a good job on my bike. However, you have to leave your bike there for about 1/2 a day. Good also because I tried other shops, they took only about 1 to 2 hours and don't need to leave the bike there but the end results are ****ed up. Quality of service is important ba. However, I'm not sure if the engine oil that you want is being sold over at Sanfu leh. U may wish to check it out.

I went to sanfu just yesterday and i spent my whole day there. Mech Siang Was helping me out with the stuff that i quoted.

Went there around 12.00pm and finished everything around 7.00pm.

There were some troubleshoot to be done, he had finished washing my carb but when he wanted to start my bike the start button did not work. He had to take out every wire that he can find and by using the digital meter, he finds out where the fault is, so i was there walking about worried about my bike. the sun sets from the west and it was soon close to darkness.

it soon reach 7.00pm then San came over to retcify the problem, and he found out within mins that it may just be the fuse tat have blown cause there was power on my electrical starterand also my battery but no power generates from the start button to the battery to start the bike.

Changing the fuse is a relieve cause my bike was soon alive, it took jawa, san and siang to fix my bike up as it was soon very late alreay and indeed they were fast, i give them 3-6mins to finish placing everything back.

so came the bill.

Air filter -$50.00 (wanted to change to K&N filter, but there was no stock $110)

Wash and tune carb - $70.00

Engine Oil Delphi - $80.00 4 btl

oil filter -$15.00

4 sparkplug denso - $32.00 4sparkplug

service - $10.00

Things not charged

coolant pipe broke change for free,

few screws missing change for free,

fuse change for free.

I would say they are a bunch of friendly people and they deserve their policy honesty!

They showed me all that have been changed and told me about the mistake the previous mech had done. He changed 4 suzuki sparkplug for me which is much longer!! That i did not noe and i remember the last time i change was in malaysia.:bouncefire:

Overall a great time there.:thumb:

Wow u kana chopped le.

I changed air filter original only $20 self diy very simple, 2 screws take out fuel tank and 5 screws take out air filter cover only.

Also delphi 4 bottle?

I usually change 3 bottle and last bottle a bit only they charge me free. I usually change fully syn at $12/bottle repsol racing fully syn 4T or castrol fully syn $16/bottle or FUCH silkolene fully syn $16/bottle.

Air filter 15 bucks okie la, but I got change once 12 dollar only forgot where, I last changed at combine also kana chopped for air filter.

The plugs are cheap. $8 only. I also get at that price mostly.

Wash and tune can be done at $65 almost anywhere.

And $10 service charge for wat?

Normally if they charge you service charge, things they will sell you at near cost price. But seems that they already earn from the oil filter already and engine oil, how come still charge $10 service charge?

12-7pm, wow only change engine oil, oil filter and oil filter took so long?

Next time want to service tell me, I recommend u else where with more experience mechanic at same price. I usually do not recommend my mechanic bcos he is very good, experience, fast, careful with your stuffs like fairing and no knocking unnecessarily, but very expensive. But seems like the price you pay also very ex, maybe more ex than him haha.

by the way, K&N filter got bigger pores allowing more air to pass through, hence more responsive but also more dust and dirt to pass through which risk having dirt into your engine and maybe scratches the internal and risk piston scratches.

So I opt for original air filter.

Somemore cheap, 20 bucks can change every year.

Your k&N cleaning kit alone cost 20 bucks everytime you clean.

Plus clean here clean there still a old filter.

Might as well change a new one.

Ultimately, I believe buying K&N is paying for the brand only, not much performance difference on my friend's bike bcos he used K&N b4, then after that changed back to original air filter also.

huh.. so K&N is not good afterall? but i tot air filter is to filter away the dust and particles.. so K&N air filter is not filtering the dust and particle.. in other words, is not an air filter? then what is it?

$20 for original air filter.. DIY or change @ shop? 1 motorshop quote me $50 for original air filter leh.... :giddy:

i disagree wif the pt that K&N allows more dust and dirt into the engine.. cuz if it does it totally defeats the purpose of it being an air filter...

it's price definitely justifies why it's able to filter of dust and dirt while having a higher air flow... the difference is in the design and material... i've used it and swear by the difference..

if wat you mention is true, we shld be seeing K&N getting it's arse sued off by the thousands(if not more) using it... why then are pple continuing to use it.. go figure

Becos its high price, so you thot its able to maintain high air flow while disallowing the smaller particles to pass through? I dont think high price = good stuff.

How many people will have the instrument to go and measure and test the acurracy of what they claimed? Its ultimately whether you trust and willing to take the risk, for me, I dont see the need to pay so much for a air filter which my fren who installed and regretted told me "no difference, dont waste money".

high price nt equals high flow rate... but i believe you have ridden this bike long enuff to be able to hear the difference of the sound between high flowing and the normal one(the former has a higher pitch sound as compared to the latter). it's immediately felt the moment the air filter is installed

i personally have tried several bikes before and after the installation of the air filter, the difference can be felt immediately... nt saying tat the price directly justifies the quality but it quite a difference the moment it's installed...

personally witnessed and felt the difference on another cbr and a s4 spec3 cuz i've ridden before and after the installation...(proper tuning needs to be done though to full release the power)

i really dun see why one bad comment on the product can cloud the rest of the positive ones...

*the difference in performance pls judge in context... dun expect to gain 10 to 20 hp by juz installing the high flow air filter... juz comparing the response it give with respect to the stock ones...
