In the end, say my dunno wat inside the switch melt already. Hafta change the whole switch which would cost me $85. Told him i dun wanna change. I dun find it making sense to change 2 switch in 1yr. Wtf?

So i guess i'll continue using my highbeam. So if i irritate any1 of u here wif my highbeam, dun blame me k. Use until the whole thing cannot use than change. Scarly by than, already change bike... :p

:cheeky:

Had the same problem. But I asked my mech to just use the low beam and remove the connection for the high beam. He did for me FOC cos simple job. But he also advised me that its better to redo the whole wiring cos my bike (FM plate) cosidered quite old liao. I told him to wait and see cos he also not sure how much it will cost.

Issit worth it or even necessary? Any comments or advised is appreciated. Thanks

Wow. Good idea, just use the low beam oni. I nv think of that man.

Bro, than hor, i suggest lah, from my own point of view, i think that the re-wiring not neccessary lah, provided u intending to use the bike for long lah... If u think of changin to class2 in 1 or 2 yrs, den i think u save the money up better... Coz i think its quite ex...

My friend last time ride RVF, he go and ask how much to do re-wiring, if i remember correctly rite, it around $800-$1000 like that... Whole bike to re-wire...

Damn ex man...

Actually, i tot of it too, but lucky i nv go and do it, coz now i trying to plan for class2... Oni no time to go register and take practical, coz of work reasons...

Btw, ask u all ah, issit an offence to ride using the high beam?? And will it affect my bike's battery or anythin??

Redoing the full wiring harness is a good thingy... BUT a costly one though.

If you plan to keep the machine for long term then its worth the money and time spent doing up the wiring, You wil not regret in future. If not you are jus helping the next owner of your bike on that part of the money needed to be put on the bike.

Once wiring is done, the bike's current supply will run more smoothly since wires are new without any wiring CUT that has a bit of current loss.

Your headlights be much brighter, horns more louder... As though you have jus installed grounding and volt stabiliser!

Current and voltage supply to your CDI and Rectifier wil be stronger with new wires without any cuts and pasting here and there ensuring the flow.

Standard Wiring harness/loom has wires to CDI, Alternater, Rectifier, battery, headlights, Fusebox complete with new and spare fuse.

Things it does not come with :: Left hand switch connection. Low/High beam and horn($85), Right hand switch connection. Engine kill switch, Start switch($60). Ignition wires. Spark plug coil and the wire($85*2=$170). And of cos charging magneto coil.($270)

On average most shops charge between $280 to $320.... If higher or lower must ask wat it comes with specifically. In my opinion i had rewired a yr back. Solved all the blades wiring probs. :thumb:
