1, 2) fuel consupmt.. anythin fr 200+ to 350km region. well, every1 got a piece of their cbr tourer story. i even heard cbrs running up to 450km b4 reserve. holy crap, were they illusioning on a S4!!! cbr is a pretty old bike. well, like wine, aged beautifully. handful of prev owners might tune it dozen times to their own prefs. nt 2 4get stuffs like k&n, makes a diff too. get ur settings rite.

 

3) spark plugs is definitely in quads. well, i haven change mine for more than 2 yrs. & its still goin gd, i hope.. if nt, u can get it fr LAB. installing it? check out the cbr manual somewhere in the forum

 

4) no worries for 4T, put urself in the nxt MO. juz a few bucks/btl for somethin gd grade, like fuch. its a steal! DIY the oil change, queries? again, check out the cbr manual. How many km b4 changing? mmm.. how much do u luv ur bike?? TLC??

 

5) does it?? try nt to install breather tube unless absolutely necessary. then again, it seems contradicting tat i actually had 1 installed.

 

6) adhoc. go 4 somethin gd, like o/x ring. forget abt ah boy's $20 chain! time to time lubrication makes it last. if nt, go 4 e chua oiler or loobman, gd for lazy bummers.

 

7) rubbers? wat do u want?? z or h?? 010 is in the $250 region though. hkl serves them nice & affordable. cheap rubbers puts u kissing the tarmac. take note dude oops btw, remember ur o/x rings clearance. i m a o ring on 010.

 

8) well well, e big qn is finally popped. wat is it u want? hurri or blade? there's j, k, l, n & r to choose fr... top speed varies fr models, with factors like bigger headers & e 2 restrictions. well, i was once jacka$$ so i went for L. my advise, go for R. at least it the youngest of the blades. restrictions can be 'settled', rite? problems comes with age, remember cbr is fr the 90s. here comes the ans to ur qn, its nippon seiki for mine!!!

 

9) not much choice, i guess. ncd? u could give mitsui a ring for their quote or visit them at hong leong bldg. their friendly staffs would be glad to assist u.. bring it on dude!!

Just came back from Genting over the week end, 160km/h constant. Occasionally 170km/h and 180km/h to chase my friends when I stop at rest point go toilet while they carry on without stopping. Discovered that the bike lots of high end speed comfort, not light and floating feeling. Engine sound more smooth now after clearing all the carbon.

 

Had lots of fun cornering at Genting slopes.

5k - 80km/h

5.5k - 90km/h

6k - 100km/h

7k - 110km/h

7.5k - 120km/h

8k - 130km/h

8.5k - 130km/h

9k - 140km/h

I dont feel that combine is good, I was charged $100 for 3 liters of semi syn castrol oil change + top up with 0.4 liters mineral oil and 4 normal plug change.

 

Then my chain no sound one, he adjusted a bit, in the end got tak tak tak sound, I go back to my old mech and solved the problem.

Forgot to tell you: I saw this FP1XYZ cbr400 same paintwork as yours (white blue red cbr1000 paintwork). You sold your bike? Beside this bike is a FQ757 red/black honda wing paintwork cbr400, its the bike which is selling in the forum few months back with FQ plate but actually is FM/FN plate becos previous owner changed number plate (I forgot whose but I always see this bike on Mandai road one). I wonder how much he sell?

 

By the way anyone know how come fuel pump of cbr400 so easily spoilt? Edwin one spoilt when going malaysia, my friend's one also spoilt when going genting last weekend. In the end tow to train station send the bike back by cargo. But luckily mine still okie, becos I never wack so hard only go 170-180 max and guai guai stay constant 160km/h. But going up the hill I wack a bit when playing corner 7-8k 2nd gear or 3rd gear.
