but i gonna enrol class 2 end of this month.. wanna upgrade.. i got a cbr then buy another cbr, bit cok ah.. if i wan i would just wanna rebuilt the cbr :cry:

anyone here using aftermarket jettings?and if so what kind?

I am using Factory Pro jet kit, tuned together with the K&N filter, Hurricane header and GPR Ti endcan. The top end power and response improved, at very little expense of low end. If you intend to change, I suggest you do the entire thing at once (header, exhaust, filter) to save on labor.

Got it. I thought you are selling your CBR also (in a CBR/RVF wanted thread)? Why are you accessorizing?

 

How many of you here actually thinks that a CBR400 will make a good spare / transport bike for a literbike owner? Money is probably the most important consideration here.

 

That said, I am open to suggestions such as downgrading.

i know where you're coming from..i used to ride R1 and after a few months straight downgraded to wave...its true what you're saying,our cbr cant be used as a transport bike for a litrebike owner..esp with the mods u hv on ur bike..:thumb:

Actually u can try looking for ur engine @ebay. There are a lot of our bike engine selling there. Or u can go scrap yard find. There i think have when the last time i went there. If u need the scrap yard add, pm mi. I msg u. :cheeky:

Actually our bike only has factory pro jet kit from what i know. And i know there is a shop @moonstone lane that do importing. There are 3 diff factory pro jet kit. One is normal, another is titanium and the last one is a racing jet kit tt will require some modification to our carb like drilling. Anyway i tried to look for dynojet kit online. But sad to say, there isn't any dynojet kit design for our bike. Planning to import the factory pro jet kit titanium aft my exam.

 

On ur qn on whether our bike can clear meter @4th gear. I think it varies from bike to bike depending on the condition of ur bike. I tried mine, it can go all the way to 16k on the rpm meter.

On the road, i will make sure u can't see my rear light...:angry:

Coz like that then i can blind you with my HID front light from your back...:angel:

only factory pro? tronican is using kenso stage 2

I am not sure about the Kenso, but you can ask the user himself. I think mine can clear the speedometer in 5th gear, but I don't intend to test 4th gear.

I started thinking if I really need a second bike, since I take MRT to work on weekdays. I think I only need the weekend bike and should sell my CBR soon to help pay for the big bike.

thanks for the replies..i asked racewerks,they say can use super 4 dynojet kit on our bikes,but need to mod a bit..how much does racing jet kit cost?

If im not wrong u stay 6xx bedok reservoir road ah?

only factory pro? tronican is using kenso stage 2

 

I had Kenso Jet kit Stage2 installed on my blade. Ordered from jap. Thru a local shop.

3 jet sizes available. Big difference compared to stock. :thumb: Only thing must choose the correct Main jet size 2nd correct placing of e clip placing on groove of jet needle. 3rd A/F mixture slightly adjusted from stock setting.

All this must go in accordance of your bikes exhaust... air filter and other air fuel related mod. But not many local mech arnd here can do a good tuning. Not faster pick up BUT smoother wont jerk. Midrange no diff. Top end very stable. Good FC.

 

There are other jet kits too. I have used Dynojet kit before. But result was very poor. :( Sold off the kit. FC was terrible but no performance. Very disappointing. When i bought my bike many yrs ago prev owner had Factory Pro jet kit installed in it. There was good midrange but no pick up and top end. Further more i cldnt adjust the jet size, since i din have the complete kit.

 

You can make special order for Dynojet Jetkit stage 1 thru Unity. Costs arnd $280 incl tuning. I got it from e bay.

 

I still have the Factory pilot and main jets available.:thumb:

2008 - : Wave S 125
