thanks for the info.. so just remove the wires will prevent the battery from going flat without using the bike for a few weeks?

thats the best u can do..juz to minimise the use of battery from e.g. I.U..and provided ur battery is still in gd condition so the power loss will be minimal wen not in use..anyway..the best thing to do is u buy a battery charger dat u can charge ur battery at home using power cord..normally the charger have something installed (dunno wat they called it)dat prevent it from overcharging..it wil stop chargin once its fully charged but wil start chargin again once the power of ur battery starts to go down..so by the time u cum back from camp..u can juz fixed it back to ur bike n vrooomm..:thumb:

i just tested my fuel consumption.. it was just 200km and it hit reserve. what is it this low? is it because i'm using hurricane header?

battery abt 70-80 pending brand

rectier 75 i think

radiator new one $400+

carb wash $80

air filter $30

Battery i juz bought from Ah boy @$42. It is Yuasa Battery. Got it at this price with a little help from my gf. At first Ah Boy quote me $48, den my gf say $40 lahz. In the end Ah boy quote me $42. Haha. I didn't say anything.:cheeky: :cheeky: :cheeky:

Ninja, my bike oso v hot now. Dunno y. There is no leak at my radiator. Brought my bike to race werks, den william say mayb my radiator's fin is blocked, tt's y lead to the increase in temp. He reccommend me 2 ways to solve the prob. First way: Buy a new radiator, confirm prob solved. Second way: He will dismantle my radiator from my bike, and den wash it with acid (yes, is acid) to clear the blockage inside my radiator. Damage is $100+.

I dun think is becoz of the header. I am using "L" model header but my FC is 20-22km/l. I think u can go retune ur bike. Mayb the tuning off or ur air-fuel ratio too rich? Go tune to a more lean mixture for better FC. But there is a price for it. First is the tuning fee, den it ur bike will feel less power becoz of the decrease in fuel in ur combustion chamber.

On the road, i will make sure u can't see my rear light...

Coz like that then i can blind you with my HID front light from your back...

The hurricane header is no better or worse than the one that comes standard on the later model fireblades. Both have internal baffles that restrict the flow a lot. It will certainly not cause your bike to use more petrol.

If you are riding mostly around town with not much hwy then that mileage is fairly usual. If you are riding mostly highway then may need to get your carbs serviced as you may be running rich or be losing some fuel to leaks somewhere.

Get your brake lines from HRCSGP. No-brand ones much, much cheaper than Hel, Goodridge etc and work just as well. I use them on my bike.

bro you heard of Kevlar brake lines? its yellow in color, fixed in my bike by previous owner, btw am happy with the feel. just wanna know if it is well known...

the one HRC sold to you is Stainless Steel line or taitanium line?

I also believe that the gain from the Hurricane header is minimal unless you modify (i.e. "operate") it to remove the restrictions. If you really want something that increases performance greatly, and has the budget to match, you are better off getting a full system (probably stainless steel, I have not seen Ti systems yet). That would be very obvious and may earn you unwanted attention from law enforcers.

That said, 200km mileage for town is rather low. Do you rev the engine a lot? Do you get caught in traffic jams a lot?

Stainless. The type of metal doesn't really matter as they will all stop the hoses from flexing just as well as each other. The exotic materials are largely marketing gimmicks. The yellow colour is just a coating, it's not because of the metal material used.

I have been riding around for over 2 years with a full race system. Just put the silencer in the end of the pipe when around SG to keep the noise down a little.
