[Ride] Hatyai Trip : Vesak holiday period

Hi, I was thinking of riding up to Hatyai on Vesak day. Currently, we have only 2 bikes going. We hope to see if anymore riders would wanna join us. We have briefly discussed this and decided to go ahead even there is only 2 bikes. Anyway, any interested parties? Please pm me.

- Move Off from GP Esso @ 1230AM / 0030Hr SHARP

- 1st Stop @ Pagoh R&R, Shell. (Rd Mileage 145Km / EST. 155Km Traveled)*@ 0200Hr*(155) *

- Turn left at Rd Mileage 284.5Km (Direction to Ipoh)

- 2nd Stop @ Dengkil R&R, Caltex. (Rd Mileage 23Km / EST. 315Km Traveled)* @ 0430Hr*(160) *

- EST. 46km journey to Y-junction than keep right to Ipoh

- EST. 9km journey to Y-junction than keep left to Ipoh

- 3rd Stop @ Tapah R&R, Shell (Rd Mileage 330Km / EST. 480Km Traveled)

(Breakfast) @*0600Hr (160) *

- 4th Stop @ Semanggol R&R, Esso (Rd Mileage 196Km / EST. 610Km Traveled)* @ 0930Hr*(140) *

- 5th Stop @ Bt Kayu Hitam Petronas (RD Mileage 10km)**/EST. 808Km Traveled**

(Final Top Up)*@ 1100Hr (185) *

- Reach Sadao (Thailand Border) (EST. 808*km clear)* @ 1115Hr*

this was our plan going up... average speed 120+ (sometimes less due to traffic and road conditions, sometimes more for straight stretches n overtaking)

 

basically, the leisurely journey took us almost 12hrs from GP to Sadao and another 45 mins to get to Hatyai city (another about 80+km). also suggest you reduce the break distances towards the end coz fatigue kicks in quite a bit and i had to struggle over the 185km last leg

 

you may wanna consider putting in more than 13hrs if planning to go slower

yup, 11hrs is sufficient... we took our time at toilet n breakfast breaks

 

btw, remember to bring proof of ownership (printout of logcard or from onemotoring showing name n address) to clear your bike through the "temporary importation"

Try not to have a heavy breakfast. And move off within 1hr upon arrive this will reduce the tiredness when sun is up.

 

If all ride with no issue occur as base on my suggestion. You should reach there less then 11hrs. Most important dun rush but speed to be consistent will do.
