Hi all,

 

Been riding M for a month ++ now and its going in for overhaul end of april.

Before it goes in, Im trying to fill myself with as much knowledge as possible about M.

 

1) Smoke coming out alot, and 2t sumtimes dripping out from exhaust.. I decoarbonized and change fibre already but the problem still comes.. should I get mechanic to reduce 2t valve ? Is so, how does it effect engine performance? I know if riding style lyk to rev high, 2t flow should be higher, but how high is too high? LOL *i read also i confuse

 

2) My engine is making weird noises. There are bearings cocking up in there. I know its expected if buying M at dis time, but when overhaul-ing, you guys recommend keeping it original or mod a lil so engine run better ? *if i were to choose, i choose to mod pick-up

 

3) As mentioned, my hand abit itchy la, wanna mod to pick up bike. So what do I ask mechanic to do?

 

I know the simplest thing is just to have a good chat with mechanic and he will advice accordingly, but I also want to have a lil knowledge before having that 'chat' so I can make a more informed decision.

 

Any additional information/recomendation to help my bike run smoother and nicer is much appreciated.

bro no need to mod so much get a chamber pipe ok already.. but standby 500 if unlucky caught by rov..no need to kacau block smue.. jpakai chamber pipe da kire ok..

my suggestions...

 

porting: i recommend porting only ur carb. porting ur block, skimming the cylinder head, etc if done incorrectly might affect ur whole engine.

ported blocks mostly dont run reliably too.

port ur carb, get the right settings, including ur 2t(if ur using pump) and ur M shud be running fine.

if ur using premix... 25ml/litre of petrol shud be jus right. :thumb:

 

and if u can afford, try to get original stuff. no point u mod but everything inside ur engine cant take the pressure from da extra power.

pls get a reliable mech too. most mech say all original but end of da day jus put in local parts. haiz....

rule of thumb: da bike in stock form is good enuf. we jus have to fine tune some things to suit our riding. :angel:

 

jus my two cents worth.

 

p/s:my M was all standard. only carb ported. never jammed before. used for everyday transport n occasional trackdays. sometimes change to AHM chamber pipe for trackdays. all da best. :thumb:

jus tell da mech u wanna port n set ur carb.

panjang mana?? i dont fancy panjang cina. been seeing too much probs with bikes done there.

panjang melayu is good. only he "tgk org".

ramesh... never been there.

port your block, change chamber pipe and plug in a keihin PJ34.. woohooo...:cheeky: i mod my bike at pak din, motorlink...
