Hello all,

I am new o this board and so glad I found it. I am from California and ride a 2002 KTM 380 EXC. I am currently in Singapore on business and I may relocate here soon.

My big question is what is the offroad riding situation like here in Singapore area?

I do love the area but do not want to give up enduro riding.

Thanks

Erik

we have a MX track here in Singapore but if you really wanna go crazy, most of us would head to neighbouring Malaysia for some enduro and off road fun. I used to join a mechanic from Malaysia for off road riding - it was fun and the company is priceless. keep looking here for rides or slackriders.com - they wil usually post if there're any upcoming rides.

Does everyone just ride the bikes to the riding area? Mine is not street legal in the US. I have seen a couple of YZ250s with plates here in Singapore.

Would I have to register my bike to get to the riding areas?

Thanks

What you saw might be the yamaha WR250R, its a street legal model from japan. Its a 4 valve DOHC engine, different engine from the YZ250,

I saw real yz250 2-stroke it was a 2003. It was parked and locked up right on orchard road. I had some hope of getting my 380 street legal in SG. I have seen many ltm exc two strokes on the road in SG.

That suprised me a little. I gave some hope of offroad riding in the area.

I am already back in Cali, I would have loved to see the MD.

u can also check out http://www.mssc.org.sg for details as well

Nvr heard of a YZ250 stroker 2003 legally registered and riding on sg roads...maybe you refering to a DT200WR (2 stroke)?

There's plenty of KTM 2 strokers (200exc, 250exc,300exc) and 4 strokes (250excf, 400 and 450excf etc) thats legal to ride on singapore. You can check out dirtwheel or ideal whom are distributors/dealers/agents for KTM bikes / parts....there's also husquarvna, husaberg off-road bikes that are legally road registered here......happy bike hunting and I'm sure the offering you can get in Singapore/Malaysia (just 5-10minutes away from Singapore custom) will be a nice riding ground for you with various difficulty and challenges for all.
