hello bro, u lazy to calculate or ur maths fail? 1 wk 5 working days,4x5=$20!:slapforehead:

ok, so 1 yr 10days free, plus typically spore got ard 11 PH/yr.. giv u heng heng all 11 PH falls on wkdays...

10 + 11 = 21days

21 x $4 = $84

$1040 - $84 = $956, the amount is still ard there.. 1k per yr if u wan pay VEP everyday :dot:

Just buy whatever when u like it. I'm a malaysian work permit holder too. If u stay in JB n do not intend to work long in Sg, recommend u to buy m'sia bike. Last time i ever rode a m'sia 125z, super tired to count the days n pay for VEP every week cuz need to clocking every 14 days. Yes. It's much more cheaper but not convenient. So, i bought a 2nd hand SP here n ride it for one year. Spent a lot. Finally sell it away for another scooter 'b-bone', for COE matter n 'amazing' insurance fee for sport bike.. No doubt that i spent a lot for this and i lost more than 2k for the SP and now 'debt' on b-bone. But as long as it's convenient to u and u feel that u like it, just go ahead. But in my thinking is, if u want to own a bike here, better is to choose a model that m'sia doesnt have any. so u wont compare it. like what i'm doing now.. lol..

u bought SP. of cos u spent a lot. lol.. but if u use singapore plate bike, do u have to pay VEP? im curious how come u think paying through VEP is cheaper for malaysians.

singapore bikes no need to pay for VEP. It's only fee for foreign vehicle to enter SG. if u intend to live long here, sg bike is better. If only think to stay here for short term, better get a msia bike. For example, u intend to stay here not more than 3 years, vep one year around 1k for m'sia bikes, let say u ride a spark 135, RM 7k in msia include everything, one year insurance at most 300 bucks a year.

Total damage for 3 years is ((7000+(300x2))/2.3)+(1kx3)=SGD6300

A spark in sg already cost around 6k plus all insurance OTR for low age cat. One year insurance around 400 for only 3rd party. 400x3+k=SGD7200 and still a lot of lumsum to count. But if u ride it more than 5 years, u will get all back..

I lost a lot on SP cuz insurance damn high now. and COE problem in SG. So if u want to buy a vehicle, u must think very carefully. in addition, u must see whether wat purpose u want to buy. If u really need it, den must buy something that's convenient to u. If not, better dun, cuz vehicle always a lose money property. BMW in SG is very convenient nowadays. For me, i buy cuz i need to study at night. Time for taking public transport is not sufficient for me from my workplace to school. So need it. Btw, own a vehicle in sg is not easy actually. But it's really convinient cuz sg is small, with a bike u can go round in sg.. lol.. cheers for i bullshitting here....

you forgot to add one more thing. let's say even with insurance, should you get into a serious accident in singapore, an insurance with a singapore bike will make your life less troublesome than an insurance with a malaysia bike. as they always say, always avoid having an accident with malaysia vehicles in singapore. very hard to claim.
