but u must remember, it can only last 1.5 hours

but from what i learn,

the longer the batt running hours, the longer the charging hours.

but thats the pros, the cons is u need a longer running hours or using bike batt when touring.

I think i very low chance to tour so dun really need long operating hours. If need charge on e go, instead of install e 12v cigarette can consider portable battery + usb cable. DX can buy under $10.

And i work in IT line so usb connections not an issue for me if daily use. So now is only finding thin glasses. ^^

u already ordered yours?

apologies for the wrong use of words ...should be rain proof instead of water proof

micro hd is cheaper yes ...but do you want only 2.5 hrs of recording with AAA batteries or 4 hours recording with built in rechargeble batteries ?

for spy glasses , would it fit into ur helmet or cause pressure points when u wear ur helmet ?

To be honest i would prefer a camera with replaceable battery.

I am just sharing the spy glasses link, not keen on it as I settled with a GE DV1 that only cost me $129 bucks with 1 year local warranty. Waterproof. Not rainproof. Although it doesnt have removable battery but at least it is close enough to what I need. :D

This is how i mount my camera using gorillapod.

Been using it for a few days.

No problem at 100km/h.

:)

the quality is good...

tried with this cam already...

please do feedback if there are any issues on the battery...

previously using this cam before changing to gopro, after some time riding with the cam attached to my pulsar's handle bar by the tripod screw, the battery died...

can record on usb plugged in but on battery alone cannot...

the battery lost contact due to the vibration...

had to change the set...

not once but a number of time die to the same problem...

starting thought is the camera itself...

but slowly realize the battery cannot take the vibration...

it is both rainproof and waterproof, took it snorkeling and video quality is good......

here is the video from me riding in the rain...

heavy rain...

record only using 640 x 480 quality...

I suspect tat most of e video cameras on e market now has acceptable quality. But due to e nature of bikes, we require rain proof, vibration proof. Thus we will ve to go for either action camera, or something tat is not mounte on e bike (thus no need vibration proof)

And also we can always go for e best gopro, or cheaper alternatives. I would suggest to search for gooro videos on youtue. And also just search for any cheaper brands. Eg: crocolis and e brands other forumers ve suggested.

For me I'm now quite keen on e spy glass. ^^ suits my purpose very much.

tachyon cameras are vibration proof and not as bulky ....imagine having to carry a bulky camera all around when u dunt have rear boxes.

u would rather change batteries every 2.5 HOURS ??? wow u are rich and not very environment friendly here

Lycan ...if u need to use the IU while riding how ? remove the camera , insert cash card , remount camera .....after stopping ...repeat process ?

what is the view angle btw ?

- maybe he use rechargeable batt. last longer too.

- maybe some ppl want the camera to be used as other stuff too. not just mounting on bike purpose only. therefor he goes the route of buying a waterproof camera. cannot be use tacyon camera to shoot family occations etc right.

- yup. u see me right. i did wrote for exam use. fail exam once nvm. can bring back video notes to revise and pass it the 2nd round. y cant we cheat when aliens from other country come in singapore with soo many certs when his age does not tally and make sense..?

Just to share my findings.

http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=160817926322&index=1&nav=SEARCH&nid=02730434405

$46 free shipping. Supports up to 8gb micro sd

http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=251066767759&index=0&nav=SEARCH&nid=02730434405

$54 free shipping. Supports up to 32gb tf. Comes with 8gb tf (i think tf stands for e normal size sd)

Got 1 more $42 same as 1st link. But shipping is $19 so dun bother.

I think if i buy will go for e 1st link. My reason is high chance need to charge daily or 2 day once, so a bit pointless for r32gb space. While charging can clear e memory card also. my char video cam using 32gb using highest quality settings. Can record up to 16hours.

Will discuss with gf tonight first.

Another thing. I just tried wearing my glasses, e one in e picture, with my FF helmet. E space tat u push in ur frame is quite tight.

Then looking into e FF helmet, e liner around e ear area has space. My FF is HJC. So e problem would be putting on e glasses. Keeping it on should be fine i think.

But ya, maybe find better. Meanwhile maybe can helmet mount? :/ buy keychain type and tape on. Lol but wont be waterproof.

Ps: crap so troublesome. Very sian.

My spec top view

My spec side view of e frame

Just like to bring ur attention to e frame, e small part at e ends of e frame tat goes behind ur ear. Although e 2 pic r not to scale but looks like e ebay pic is just slightly bigger?

E part tat is much bigger is e portion nearer to e lens.

http://img.tapatalk.com/cb7525d6-4a8b-1b01.jpg

This me wearing my FF in office. My fren asked if i lost my mind. :) anyway e part where my specs go in, there is a small spec of roughly 20~40mm. Farther in will be e "hole" for ur ear.

I think this spec is possible but unless test it, else dunno. Maybe someone who wears those thicker specs similar to this spy glass can wear FF and feedback?

http://img.tapatalk.com/cb7525d5-4b9f-0627.jpg

Last but not least, any guess if this width is close or bigger than e spy glass? Becoz i manage to stuff 2 of this while wearing e FF. It is a squeezy fit. If prolong wearing may be uncomfortable. :/
