Warning, this is extremely boring. Only slightly more interesting than watching paint dry.

I follow traffic regulations to a Tee, I don't speed or ride the line and I don't weave traffic and I don't run lights or cut lanes. Yet too many people have tried to run me off the road so I decided to use the camera. Mounted on my helmet so I won't accidentally leave the camera on the bike and get it stolen.

Here's the link, enjoy

Nice! Does the file overwrite when the card is full? Can charge and record at the same time?

Finally. First test video after my screw up during day test. ^^

Clarity, not much to ask. Wayyyyyyy better than when I tried using iPhone 4 where the only things I can see is streaking red lights. Now can clearly see the cars. I think to be able to record the number plates, need to "look" directly at the number plate and stay still for 1 second? It is pretty much the same as my car video cam where the number plates r usually not very clear during cruising spds.

I think with this level of clarity, day video will be much better. =D so this will be my solution.

Photos of how I waterproof it below.

photo 1.JPG

I use a Tic Tac box bought and emptied from 7-11.

photo 2.JPG

For the camera to be more fitting, I just cut a few pieces of cardboard.

photo 3.JPG

Cut a hole in the Tic Tac box front for clearer recording. Will need to find a rainproof solution for this hole without reducing the clarity

photo 4.JPG

Cut a hole at the side for access to the mini USB. This hold will be at the bottom when I mount on my helmet so no worry about rain.

3M Velcro which will be attached to the side of my helmet

Not too bad just a little shaky. I have encountered similar. About to exit a carpark after a left bend and was greeted by the front of a big lorry apparently half of it have entered the carpark by the exit lane. I was able to stop and press my horn. Swerved to the right and exit the carpark safely.

Ur comment in e video asked "wat was he thinking". He wasnt thinking which is y tat happened. :) if he was thinking of driving then would ve driven nicely in e right lane in e first place.

Also ur comment could be more in time with e video. At first thought ur comment was directed toward e car turning right into carpark.

Agree abit shaky but i think helmet mount? If yes then mine worse. :)

Sharing my test video for keychain video camera mounted at e side of helmet. Converting in progress

some issues

- most of e time e number plate not very clear. Only when i am right behind e vehicle then can c clearly even 1 car lane away. Not entirely suitable for me to act "TP"

- currently mounted vertical. Need to change to horizontal becoz vertical e angle is small

- difficulty in operation. E led light on e keychain cam is not very visible in e day when i handle it while it is mounted on my helmet and looking into e mirror. Ve to start e recording before mounting. This increase e risk of accidentally stopping e recording. :/

Adjusted e mounting to become horizontal instead. Think this will mark e end of this project. Will be ordering 2 more 1 for rear and 1 for front (fix)

Cannot aim. :)

I think if you wanna put on your head and aim, at least get a better recorder with image stabiliser. If not you might just end up with blurry footage.

Don't try to aim too long or you might lose focus of the traffic ahead. :/

Anyone buying the $330 gopro @ cmo?

I have been thinking of attaching one on the rear but have yet to brainstorm a proper position and currently busy with other important stuff.

Head rotation exercises to strengthen the neck. To prevent the 'blair witch project' effect. Must not fidget when aiming.
