I concur. Just to share one of the injuries I sustained was that way. Except that it was not a cam but my helmet's visor that gave way and I shall not go into the gruesome details.

When i first got into motorcycle, the first item i wanna buy is camera. I think 1 camera is not enough. I agree gopro is good, the colour is great but it on records in one angle.

Why not DriftHD or ContourHD? Lets say i mount on right side, i am reducing the angle on recording left side. Hence i finally decide to go with helmet cam, reason:

I am running in my new bike and drivers like to overtake me by forcing me out of my lane.

Worse, i once have a driver overtaking me at single lane raised zebra crossing at school zone.

Cabby suddenly coming out from his lane, riders usually will turn bike right but head turn left, that is when helmet cam does the job.

Also if someone onces to pick a fight, they see your helmet cam and then.......You know~

But at the end of the day, i might still get a gopro infront or something, kinda broke now

$$$$$$$ EURO CUP!!! $$$$$$$

When I got a motorbike there were no such cams. Either that or they are super pricy. Now there are plenty of affordable ones. Sadly it was a bit late. Guess its better late than never.

I think there are like 3 cameras at least on each gantry.

 

3 gantries total of 9 cameras?

 

Although some part of me wishes that they are really speed cameras. There are always some fools dragging and speeding in the middle of the night almost every night. Zzz.

If for traffic,no need to put so many cams in 1 row...they have like erp like that 3-5 cams in a row...

I guess the 1st gantry is like the detector then the. 2nd and 3rd will be cam and flash...

But thats my opinion...

If nv rmb wrong they still in process of fixing it up...

Omg what was that driver thinking?

He missed the first time when switching lane but knock the rider down from the rear on the second time!

Even if the rider stopped, he shouldn't just knock him down.

Front mount, only see traffic only

Helmet mount, wah giddy man. Left right up down shaky

 

 

Would use a dslr accessories and mount it on bike. It will look abit funny when mounted but i feel that the videos it creates would be awesome!

The height should be similier . Its 11 inch but not gonna use that pole. Its a two piece pole with can adjust angles. Used for dslr photographer lightings.

I got a good idea for you. Can use the pole hang a banner for advertising. Any company interested you can charge advertising fee. Its a win-win situation.

Sorry if this has been posted already, but I've been thinking of getting a GoPro. Anyone tried it? And how is the mounting on to the bike/helmet?

 

Go Pro I have checked against several website and youtube compare..

 

1) Too much wind noise.. and can't hear your bike engine much..

2) the mounting is very weird as it's "recommended" to mount on top of your helmet and it "stands up", so it looks like a antenna from your helmet. *doesn't feel safe for touring/raining thru.. lightning factors and stuff like that. Of cuz, you can't review it nor see it's "angle" until you plug into a screen..

3) Lastly, Night view not clear enough..

 

Good points

1) Long battery, can't recall the exact duration but around 2 or more hours on the highest definition.

2) Extreme clear under sunlight
