izzit true that K&T can change spec 1 taillight to spec 3?

Hi bros... need to check with some pricing. I was quoted:

 

1. Change oil and air filter

2. Change engine oil. Full synthetic. Ard $20/bottle. 3 bottles in total

3. Flush gear. Should be removing of contaminants from gear. Not sure how it is done.

4. Clean and tune carburator

5. Flush and top up radiator fluid

6. Radiator cleaning

7. Cleaning of pipe. Should be inserting solvent to dissolve contaminants.

8. Change of spark park.

 

I was quoted $380. Is it worth it? Seems ex to me.

So instead of K&T.. I went to HKL to change my brakepads since im changing my tires there..

 

What:

1. Sportec M1 tyres front and back(manufatured 48th week 2006)

-inclusive of balancing

2. 3pairs SBS Brakepads (front and back)

 

Damage:

1. Tires: $300

2. 3 x SBS : $60

Total: $360

 

Feelings:

Not bad.. Very friendly crew.. They like to talk, i also like to talk..

$360 for my safety, im satisfied although i know others can get cheaper..

juz went to jb 'hou heng' to service my bike..

 

carb wash & tuning, Caltex Semi Syn Engine oil, Oil Filter, Denson Sparks Plug = RM325

My strobe signal lights front and back from Motoworld but were flashing too fast.

 

My low beam head lights kept shorting out. (Burnt out connector)

 

Both problems were trouble-shot and remedied by the Kim Keat Mechanics for additional $35.

 

FYI

the mech there is quite good in wiring.... solve my previous bike wiring problem... :thumb:
