Can 2 bikes share 1 ERP Unit?

Hi all,

 

I currently have 2 bikes, of which 1 has an ERP Unite while the other one doesn't have one. Is it possible to share 1 ERP unit? Im able to make a detachable ERP Unit.

 

P/S: Im not sure how the ERP system works. Hence im asking this. Pls do not flame me. Im very afraid to get flamed.

its impossible. maybe you can suggest this before the implementation of the new IU units.

u can use but don kenna cuaght, cause its register under the Bike lic plate

You can use it on the bike that is not registered with an IU as Z^^kia has mentioned.

 

But if one day you forgot to insert cashcard or an error comes on, your bike number will be captured along with the IU number. That's when sh*t comes.

 

I would recommend you purchase a brand new or second hand unit for the bike that doesn't have one. Or juz don't ride that bike to ERP/CBD areas since you have another.

which means i can use my current IU on another bike so called "illegally"? coz my other bike is not registered with an IU.

 

actually i dun ride the bike quite often but its just tat sometimes when i enter carparks that have gantries.. other issues not a problem

 

a new IU costs $150 excluding gst.. hmm.. anyway thanks for all replies

Yup, the barrier will open for you. Not as risky as going thru ERP gantries too.

this reminded me of an incident when I bought a new IU for my bike. I just walked into Mah Motor with my bike log card and asked to buy an IU. After paying for the IU, the mechanic asked for my bike as he wanted to install for me. When I told him that I'll be installing it myself as i didn't ride it down. He was relunctant to handover the IU to me, although I've already paid for it. So I asked him if there was a problem if I installed myself, after keeping silence for about 5mins which felt like hours, he warned me not to fool around with the IU, like installing in a car.........haaaa...
