hiya. anyone know of the availability of such "insurance calculators"? i mean, is there somewhere with a table or something, that shows the various parameters for bike insurance like age of rider, years of riding experience, class of bike, type of bike and end up with a range of insurance premium prices...are there such tables around?

there's a table available at bike shops.. i got to see it at my friend's shop sometime back.. but you cannot have it.. you just tell them what bike, age of bike and rider, riding experience then they calculate and give you quotation. otherwise just call insurance company direct.

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.

Plus the price varies from company to company, as well the conditions. You may want to check with the different companies first since the premiums can differ quite substantially between them.

n i think if u go to ntuc in person n get a quote also better. cause that time i called ntuc for a quote, then when i nwhen down to buy it, didnt use the person's name on the phone. i just on e spot ask for a quote again, then its cheaper. :)

wow...very interesting. will certainly check it all out. am wondering if some bikes are deemed safer/cheaper. for example, scrambler vs naked bike...hmmm.
