Those are pro pilions who are dressed up in full gear....

And somewhere along the line, I'm pretty sure they've signed their indemnity form.

Regarding abt the Ducati Owners Club thingey, wouldn't Minerva be in a very good position to kickstart and get the ball rolling? (if planned well, can get the money rolling in as welll....)

New products, discounts, planned rides to clock up the mileage, etc etc.

Sounds perfect but Minerva won't be able to kick start the club (without members). They will need the riders to propose to them, right?

wow! you bought the Marchesini wheels (5 spoke one) for your ST4?

or are you owning another ducati? :cheeky:

btw, how much did the Marchesini wheels (5 spoke one) cost?

The 5 spoke wheels are off the newer ST4S models.

Weight savings are 2 pound for the front and 1 pound off the rear.

Total cost abt 1k+ I bidded off ebay then plus shipping etc etc...

Anyone knows off a good powdercoating shop???

Was thinking of spraying the bike black, powdercoat the frame

and wheels red. Then think of $$$..... :weep:

Anyway, DOC/DOG members.... I remembered there are abt 200 plus registered Ducatis on the road (from LTA website). Among them, dunno how many are still

on the road... Anyway, kind of hard to gather a big bunch of Ducati together.

Last time round, I think it was the launch of the Ducati S2R/S4R at Goodwill Park

Hotel that I saw so many Ducati's together.

Try ebay.....

Wanted to buy the 97 748 and rebuild it but I think pre-99 bikes are afflicted with

electrical problems.

How's the 748 doing now???

It all started with a little puppy. In 1926, the Ducati brothers founded an appliance business in a suburb of Bologna. Their motorcycle breakthrough came in 1946. The Cucciolo or "Puppy" was no more than a 48cc four-stroke engine bolted to a bicycle frame. But Italians loved it and more than a quarter of a million were sold over the next decade. These early scooters, fast, reliable, efficient - with a robust little engine - laid the groundwork for a motorcycle revolution that led to high performance sport bikes like the 916 and 999 and cult motorcycles like the Ducati Monster and Multistrada.

Just took the Duc to track.. the suspension is too darn hard! Bouncing off bumps all the way! Even though I kept turning out the comp damping.

Anyone like to share their suspension setting? Mine is a Showa front with Ohlins rear.

Posted

If its bouncing off the bumps, try increasing rebound damping

If its hitting the bumps real hard, try reducing compression damping

But set the sag for front and rear preload to your weight.

Anyone with US17k to spare?

Its flying off the bumps! Wheel leaving the ground. Comp damping decrease almost to max.. forks already going down too fast during braking..

Think the springs are too hard.

Forks going down too fast, you should increase compression damping.

Increasing rebound damping will reduce the speed of the suspension rebounding, so it doesn't bounce around so much when it hits the bumps.
