Where got! Maybe with another 30 years experience!

 

I'm good at writing... knowing what to do with tools in my hand is another story all together!!! I've lost count of the number of times that learning by trial and error has nearly/actually damaged my darling scooter...

insano > noted .. thanks for the input ... this year i dun think we gonna organise any mods mayday event ... but surely there wil be a ride this coming may ... been doing this mayday rides every year without fail .. this is when old and new members will get to know each other and ride all night ... kinda good to meet old friends

the annual mayday ride should be awesome....keep us posted on the details...

 

it is pretty obvious that the disc brake is a MUCH better option than the drums brakes otherwise cars and other big bikes wont be using them....as for the 3legged ones or drum brakes, it is a thing of the past...so for those who set their sight on vintage scoots, it is what it is....just leave it as it is...

 

I would think if you are into classics, go get the real thing though some would not careless what other comment (conversion from PX to sprint/super or changing here and there), as long as you love your babe....who cares!

to add on the originality of scoots, "it is what it is" *again* so if you wanna get a vintage...go get it....if you want something for a daily ride (other than your vintage scoots), you could get a newer PX with disk brakes...then you will enjoy the best of both worlds....

As for the 3 button helmets, any particular brand you are looking for?

I have a couple laying around at home(not in the best of condition though) and one of the boys from Aj is Really into helmets.

Can't say that getting my license was one of the happiest moments of my life, given that they torture you by making you sit in that room and slowly calling out names, not knowing if those called have passed or have failed! Evil, pure megalomaniacal evil.....

it is their "JOB" to find fault in your riding....

for me it was the idea of having the TP at 7am that ticked me off. =P and the waiting around.. think i was number 87. got to see alot of people getting immediate failures which gave me an uneasy feeling inside.

 

but it's all mental i guess. whether you can ride or not ultimately depends on yourself. so don't let the testers psych you out! and since you've already passed all the pracs you know you have the skills. =)

 

all the best tazzy_jnr! would love to see you on your ride someday.

some tester may be nice....but smiling at you does not mean you wont get any points deducted....he may be smiling and thinking in his heart...*ahahaha....silly mistake, gonna deduce points from you*....

i may somewhat bias...but i guess the test does not truely reflect on how good you are...sometimes it depends a lot on luck....
